Dealership Thoughts

On the first night all I could get was Pearson in North indy.
After I made that Reservation I pretty much never heard from them, even after trying to contact.
Drove over and spoke to Tom Wood. Basically got blown off.
A lot of the we can't get the car so we aren't interested.

Friend told me about Michelle at Andy Mohr.
Called her up.
Knowledgeable and willing to talk.
Plus they are the biggest volume dealer in the state. Switched over. Much happier.

Your plans?

Hi! I am dealing with Fieldstone Ford in Demotte (northwest Indiana). I actually purchased from them in May. I haven’t heard much at all but I’m not sure how much more they can tell us right now. I’m an A plan recipient (My father is a Ford retiree) so price bargaining will not come to play with my situation. The one deciding factor will be MPG. If it’s too low I may be canceling my reservations. I currently drive a 2020 Escape Titanium in Rapid Red. My salesman was awesome to work with and I expect the same moving forward.

Fieldhouse Ford I meant.

I’ve never bought a Ford in IN, only lived here for about 7 years. I reserved through Don Hinds in Fishers based on online reviews. They seemed to have the best ratings around the area, I live in Westfield. Josh Kern is my point of contact there. He seems decent, no granger by any means but I feel confident in the few interactions I’ve had with him.
I was kind of hoping to get some kind of granger-like deal, but haven’t really looked around. Also I want to build a bit of relationship with the dealer for future service and potentially add some of the 300 or so goodies Ford claims to have for the bronco. Since they’re close to me and have good reviews I’ll probably just stick with them.

Fieldhouse Ford in Demotte also... 20 some miles from me, but my folks live in Demotte, so I'm there often enough.
Their pricing has been phenominal for literally decades. I have compared their Super Duty prices against Granger and they are spot on. I have also checked out the Ford partner web site where you can check "plan" prices if you are eligible, both dealers are easily below X-plan (what I qualify for).
I asked the sales point of contact a few weeks back about Bronco pricing and he basically said as long as Ford doesn't change the game, they will price as they always have...below invoice.
Like I said in another thread, my family has been dealing with them since you could last buy a new Bronco and they have always been great.

@HoosierDaddy I just want to update that Fieldhouse sales guy stated how they REALLY want to be at MSRP .....LOL , I'm sure they do. I think (no , I know) he also fully understands that I WILL NOT pay MSRP or I'm traveling. He began to back down.
He is well aware of Granger, did not bad mouth them but insists that they (Fieldhouse) do not know enough about Ford's pricing strategy yet...IE, what Ford may dictate to them.
I felt it is all a bit of B.S.
When i go in , my line will be something to the extent of...you CANNOT sell THIS vehicle without me. It is MY reservation, nobody besides me can get THIS vehicle. YOU may not even see one to sell for another year. I am not asking for anything special over what your EVERY DAY pricing strategy is. Anything more than that is YOU getting greedy over a vehicle you cannot possibly sell to anybody else. I will cancel or transfer the reservation before I succumb to greed.

@HoosierDaddy I’m an A plan recipient so I’m extremely grateful that I don’t have to play the games of pricing.

What did you get at Andy Mohr? Able to get invoice? They keep blowing me off.

@MarcTut I just talked to them. They told me "we'll be at least MSRP" so I am not going to be using them since that leads me to believe they could mark up

I had really poor communications with Andy Mohr. Can’t really drive the distance out of state to go to Granger, so switched to Ray Skillman in Greenwood. They are doing MSRP. Have had much better communication with them. Since it was announced that we can switch one more time, I’m still looking around. If anyone knows of a better deal in Indiana, let us know. Thanks in advance ?
