Serramonte Ford Bronco6G Pricing

Ladies and Gents, thank you for your patience. Here is what we're going to offer to any B6G member that PM's me before 10/31/2020.

Pricing:
All B6G members with Bronco Reservations with us or converted to us by 10/31/2020, and PM me their name, Reservation number, and email will be eligible.

All Trims, 2 door and 4 door, EXCEPT First Edition will be $500 over invoice if you are not an AZDX Plan Customer. First Edition without a plan pin will be MSRP. In the event plan pricing is not offered on FE, we will discuss with individual x-plan holders about the pricing.

If you are eligible for a plan program (A, Z, D, or X) we will accept it on any model. Regular Plan rules apply of course, and you must have your pin at time of purchase (when your Bronco arrives at the dealership for delivery).

We wanted to be fair to both plan customers and non-plan customers. We also want to maintain the integrity of the X-Plan program, which should run anywhere from $50-$200 above invoice. We want to make sure X-Plan remains a benefit to those who have the eligibility rather than give a blanket discount that surpasses the program.

Order deposit:
We are not asking for additional deposits beyond the $100 you already committed.

Order Details:
Once we can start conversions in December, we will be reaching out individually to schedule an order consultation to confirm your vehicle colors, tops, options, and accessories. I have yet to discuss accessory pricing, but should have something by conversion time.

Schwag:
We plan to do some additional swag, but the details haven't been hammered out yet. I will update this space when we do have information to share. We wanted to get our pricing out first and foremost, so this took a backseat for a short time.

Other Stuffs:
We have some other communications planned. Prior to the Bronco Specialist role, I also did most of the special ordering in the store, so I have some extensive experience tracking special orders. Ford is going to use the same tracking system they did when they redesigned Mustang in 2015, and it's more transparent than other model lines. I'll still have a little deeper access to individual orders from our store, so feel free to reach out to me for any updates.

Thank you,

Sean McLaughlin

Good for you and the team Sean! First dealer to step up to the plate other than the initial 3; Laura, Granger, Stephens and one more in NY I think. I hope this pays off for you and the west coast bronco folks!

Good stuff, but I'm someone who has yet to place a reservation and why wouldn't I order from Granger? They're $2k off invoice, which after shipping will be $1k below invoice (rather than $200 above with X Plan). I don't know why any of these CA dealers can't step up like the big 3 have.

It's a good offer, but this is the problem with dealerships. Ford, and their dealers, are basically telling me to order from a dealer in Iowa to get the best pricing. It's like Apple saying to get the best pricing you need to order the new iPhone from Arkansas rather than buy it in Burlingame; it's silly.
Gloff
Gloff
@Mattymeats Financially, for us, it's not feasible to offer such a deal, but that's the beauty of the dealer system, you're free to shop around. If this were Apple, you'd be paying MSRP, not getting a discount.
Mattymeats
@Gloff That's fair in terms of not offering that deal. I wish Ford came out with something that evened out pricing no matter where you are. It's a shame customers have to go all over the place for the same product strictly on price. No one is ever paying MSRP. It's like Kohl's saying a Nike sweatshirt is $150 "normal price" but at Kohl's you'll pay $39.99. No one is paying $150 for a basic Nike sweatshirt and everyone knows it.

You guys are offering a super solid deal for local folks, so you guys are the solution not the problem. Other dealers are using a hot car to try and make as much as they can. Thank goodness for forums like this for buyers to communicate and share information.
Gloff
Gloff
@Mattymeats and Khols still has a 200% markup. I hear what you're saying, and the dealership model is far from perfect, but it's what we got. If Granger offered every customer the same relative deal they're offering 6G, they'd quickly go out of business. I think I understand what they're doing, and that's their goal, not ours. If you want to have a polite discourse on the car sales Industry, I'm game, but not in a thread, send me a pm.

Thank you, I was waiting for a Bay Area dealer to step up Before switching from Sunnyvale Ford. I’ll message you soon.
da_jokker
So 500 over invoice? How much is that under MSRP?

As others have said, thank you for being the first CA dealer to actually step up to the plate.

@da_jokker Depends on the MSRP of the truck. Once we have complete pricing, I should be able to estimate it. Once I can plug it in to WBDO, I can usually get the exact X-Plan price.

Are you able to give a general amount of reservations that have been made with Serramonte?

My $.02

To the Bay Area Bronco Club , I would like to share my individual opinion. As I see it, there are three dealers that have come to the forum and answered questions, seem trustworthy and are fans of the new Bronco. (There are some other dealers (#8 in Atlanta) that come on and seem to take pleasure in the occasional bad news and rubbing it in our faces but we are not buying cars from them.) The three are: Albert at Granger Ford Iowa, Eric at Kearny Mesa Ford San Diego and Sean at Serramonte Ford Bay Area. The most valuable thing all three do is arm us with knowledge in the often screwed up world of car dealerships. Albert goes beyond this and also offers us money savings and if I lived anywhere in about twenty states, I would be going with Albert. My work, however, doesn’t offer the flexibility to drop everything and fly to Iowa and take my time breaking in my new engine on the way home and I know Albert would prefer Broncos picked up within seven to ten days of delivery. My delivery also could come in the dead of winter which might make the road trip home less fun. An individual Bronco shipment from Iowa to the Bay Area is around $1,300.00 and a group shipment is risky for two reasons: someone dropping out at the last minute and adding to the five’s cost; and there could be a huge gap in all six Broncos arriving in Iowa at the same time. A month-long gap of waiting for the last Bronco to arrive in Iowa would be torture. It does not seem like any California dealership will step up to match Granger, California salaries and real estate prices might be two reasons why. I must also be honest and say that Iowa interests me more because I trust and like Albert than just the two to three percent savings. For those that can make Iowa work out, I say go for it. For the rest of us, I vote Eric in Southern California and Sean in Northern California. For almost all of us, there is zero contact with our registered dealership and who knows if the person that eventually ever does contact us will even be at the dealership when our Bronco arrives. Sean seems as permanent of a fixture as it gets in the car business and even answers questions on weekends. When build and price hits, I think it will be imperative to have an actual person to contact and ask questions to, and I think we will have a less stressful ‘year-long-wait-yikes’ knowing there is a person to call, someone who will still be there after a year, and that nothing fishy happens when we pick up our Bronco. I vote we move our reservations to Sean, and I look forward to others’ feedback.

@Gloff Thanks for the communication and transparency.

I’m interested in transferring my reservation as well but there’s one thing you missed I believe that we’d all like know

Will there be any ADMs or “required” options (theft protection, tint, “nitrogen” filled tires, etc...) - this well help seal the deal for me if you can commit to this

@Gloff Just got off the phone with Ford. My reservation is officially transferred and in your hands at Serramonte. Looking forward to working with you!

@bronco38 I think I got it, but don't forget to PM me your Reservation No., email/phone. Also let me know if you are getting our price, or if you will have X-Plan.

@Gloff - Can you speak to the recent thread about X-Plan not being available ?

Will it be available or not and what’s your source?

Looks like it’s official for the XPlan not being allowed for 2021MY. Why should I switch from WC to Serramonte? I need some motivation!
bronco38
Well what’s interesting is that we apparently have the ability to change dealers a second time AND Kearny Mesa Ford said they will still allow X-Plan discounts

@bronco38 going to update our OP tomorrow, but here is our statement: We will be honoring X-Plan with a valid pin for any existing customers or switchers from B6G if they notify me before 10/31. We will be using the calculation of 0.4% below invoice + $275. For non xplan customers, our $500 over invoice deal stands.

(Note: I posted this on another thread as well).

My advice is to not pick Serramonte Ford just because they are going to still honor the Xplan which is standup and awesome. Pick them because Sean is a gear head and enthusiast FIRST and just happens to be a salesman second. Picking a dealership is like picking a contractor for a house remodel. Don’t pick them based on everything going well, pick the one that will find solutions when the shit hits the fan because the shit hit the fan this week. Look how fast we got a response. I’m not sure I totally trust Ford at this point but I feel damn good about Serramonte Ford. My faith and interest are restored. Bring on B&P now that I’m in a better mood!!!!
da_jokker
So question... if we switch our existing reservation to say Serramonte... will it put us in the back of the line? I'm in Roseville, so Serramente is doable... but doesn't the queue per dealer make a difference or just your place in the US Line?
Gloff
Gloff
@da_jokker No, you keep your reservation timestamp and your place in line. The reservation timestamp is national, so its against all other reservations as opposed to the reservations at your chosen dealership.

Edit: We don't know what other dealers reservation counts are, so it's hard to say if it will change how fast you get it. I've mentioned in other threads that I personally think it would change your timing very little, and your chosen options/trim level will impact your delivery time more. There's also something to be said for engagement, as Reservation to Order Conversions will play a role; having a dealer that is fully engaged in the program is better than one that isn't. I can't speak for your current dealership, only my own, and you see my engagement here.

Ford's official line here: Customers may reach out to Ford Customer Support at (800) 334-4375 for assistance in updating their dealer selection. In changing dealers, there will be no impact to a customer's reservation ID, vehicle details, or the associated timestamp.
da_jokker
Awesome... that is my biggest worry especially since that announcement about reservations made after N date will not get theirs until 2022 models..... I'm going to wait till BP comes out... build my Bronco, then figure out if I can stick with my local dealer or will be driving to you guys.

One other question... why the 10/31 deadline for the switch? What happens to those that switch after October?
Gloff
Gloff
@da_jokker 10/31 was the switch deadline originally. We've decided to stick to that, since our pricing isn't affected by B&P. Our pricing model, save for First Edition, is based on the cost of the truck, not the configuration, so it's clear.

Beyond 10/31, we're asking MSRP for all Bronco.

Sacramento/Roseville Folks... Cactus Grey coming to Roseville Ford First week of January...just in case you want to see the color in person

Bronco Sport or Full Size 2/4 DR?
da_jokker
Sport...Folsom said the same thing.. they both claim to have a SPORT coming in the next 2-3 weeks with that color. But sounds like the Sports aren't sitting on the lots very long.
