Group for people in New England to talk, show off, and go off roading

I was in central VT this weekend tried to do some trails solo. Some good.. some bad, some I decided to bail on. I think I needed to have a spotter to get through a section safely so I turned around. There are some great trails all around Washington Town Forest. Garmin Video of the trail.

Turnpike Rd turns into Town Highway 45 and becomes "impassable" according to the trail guide I have.

Attaching my trail map.
Green = Ok easy trail
Blue = Use caution and a spotter
Red = You might not be able to get through.

I am so glad you posted this. So where did you get the trail guide? Was this from Garmin?

@decummins some locals I know that go muding provided this to me. Also these are just class 4 roads, VT has lots of roads that are public right of ways. If you go on Class 4s be careful and be respectful since these roads are mostly on ancient right of way over peoples land. Most people are ok with you driving on them but some people are not, even though you might have the rights to do so. Towns in VT have a map of these areas like the one I have but it seems like this site is good for a list of class4s and impassable roads in the area https://vermontroads.net/map. Also Class4 road means unmaintained so you can come to a section that should be green or easy with a giant tree across the road and you got to back up about 500 feet to a turn around spot.

@Mike_M Excellent. I just found the GIS maps for NH that allow me to show the class VI roads.. Tried a few and they had gates :-(. Will continue to explore.

@decummins you are allowed to open gates, but you need to return them to the closed position.
