Several people have asked for an update. We have set September 24/25 as the Drummond Island trail ride for 2022. We need to decide on lodging (feel free to make suggestions for the groups consideration). Anyone with prior experience at DI, DM me. I would like to have at least two groups set up so we will need two trail leaders.

More to come, stay tuned!

Hoping to make this one if I can make it work!

Also, are non-Broncos invited? I have a Gladiator and Wrangler friend that might be interested. I'm good either way. Just thought I'd ask.

@ScoutandBronco I don’t have a problem with a non Bronco going. What I am not sure about is how many total people are going. We don’t have a great way to get a reliable count. I would say invite them and it’s possible the group may need to be split depending on actual attendance.

@BroncoAW It looks good and if we could do a group rental it might make sense. For a regular room its $259 a night. Not sure what people's tolerance for hotels is, but that's up there for me, using none of the facility other than a bed :)

@Mattwings yeah I saw the prices after I mentioned it lol. I got it as a recommendation from a buddy who’s in the Hummer club and he said that’s where they always stay. I’m sure there are other options on the island. I will be up there on the 28th and will see if I can get information on anywhere else if I have the time.

I've got both my ORV stickers, will we need to have a flag for this ride? I've never been off road so this is totally new to me. I'm getting my Off-rodeo in the end of July so hopefully I'll be an expert ;)

@dooberj I don’t believe so. Only Holly Oaks and Silver Lake. Off Roadeo will be a huge help, but MI trail regulation isn’t on the agenda 🙂 it can be confusing at times. We have links on MIBroncos.com to most of the ride areas, including DI.

@Mattwings - definitely do not need flags on Drummond. You do need the ORV stickers though.

I was looking at lodging options. Not only are prices hi, everything is sold out (so they must not be charging too much?). I am now looking to camp (and my wife is joining me :)). Anyone have a reservation or recommendation? I know I want bathrooms and shower or my wife will kill me. Maybe this one-https://trailheadbarrestaurantandcampgrounddrummondisland.com/

We are doing the same the with @Svanhildr and probably another couple. Better than chancing the weather in a tent.

We have a house rented as well. It is just us right now but we are waiting to hear if some of our jeep friends can join us. If you all are coming in on Thursday for the 3 night minimum and want to catch up for a ride on Friday, let us know. We are definitely planning on heading out somewhere.
