Anyone spoken to or heard from local dealers since the allocation report on Friday? Realize that everyone here has pretty much switched to Granger/Stephenson, but trying to get as many sources on the ordering/delivery timing as possible.

Not a word.

I’ve been in touch with the salesperson at Hennesey that sold me my truck. They aren’t doing anything. They probably have a ton of reservations from people who aren’t aware of the other offers.

@GiddyUp The offer isn't just mentioned on their website and on this forum ... if you look on their website they have a link to the offer signed by their general manager. That's about as locked down as you can get.

Fyi, as much as I ripped on Hennessy, they did refund me the $100 reservation fee in about three days ... which is nice.

@DHC It was nice of Krause Ford in Alpharetta to send me a "welcome" email once I cancelled my reservation with them yesterday. They really should have someone look into their web services!

Yeah, you can always say you just moved here from Iowa and look forward to service from the new place!

Same ... no word from Krause in Alpharetta. Nore from Lithia where someone posted a FB add about a deal under invoice.

@GiddyUp I sent an email to the people at KFF in Woodstock, but still waiting on a response. Will let you know what I hear. My reservation is still with them for now. I'm nervous about what the allocation stuff means and if it would mean a long possible delay in delivery if I stayed there or if I switched to Granger, and also confused by Mike L.'s "stay tuned" tweet regarding ordering in January. We don't need more variables!

Hopefully you get word back. I haven't seen that tweet yet ... do you have a link or anything?? Yeah, I totally agree with you ... things are really in flux. It does sound like Ford may have changed gears in regards to our orders, and maybe the big-box dealerships aren't getting the advantage in the ordering process. Will be eager to hear more about the change in "formula" I have heard. The same thing that may have caused Granger to remove their post about orders? ... not sure. Crazy like a fox smart for Granger to come out with the $2k below invoice offer in Oct to help level out the heavy up-front order bearers.

I also read that Ford may also offer "appearance packages" and or "new paint color options" for those that push their orders out further. All in effort to level the ordering out. Eager for confirmation on this info, and if so, what it entails!!! Cheers

I've gone with Nalley in Sandy Springs. Haven't heard from them since late July, but told the internet sales guy that I'll see them in December for placing the order. Nothing to discuss at this point in time. Best to not show a dealership that you're overly excited to purchase a vehicle. Making a reservation is bad enough, but it shows too much of your hand in my opinion. I wouldn't worry too much at this point about allocations. Ford wants to honor the reservations because that is just good marketing. Don't think they care much about which dealership you use. Ford will send the Broncos to where the orders are placed. No way to know in what order Ford will use, they won't openly discuss that because they likely want to control narrative if things get mixed up.

@FailedSaint Not sure taking your truck someplace else will have that big of an effect on them if you still allow them to sell you the vehicle to start with. Personally, I view all car dealerships as sleazy; particularly those of non-luxury automakers. Luxury dealerships have far too much to loose with high income buyers, so they tend not to test you unless you literally walk in knowing nothing of the car buying business. Nalley was on the list for honoring not going over MSRP and I will hold them to that; anything else would be a bonus. I have absolutely no faith in this dealership and have prepared myself for a bad experience. If they do provide good customer service, I'll report back on it, if they don't, I will as well.

@MadMan4BamaNATL I completely agree with you on all factors except one. They make more money on maintenance for the life of the vehicle than they do on the auto sale itself. I have gotten away from doing the routine maintenance on my own because I had the luxury of doing so but I will be going back to that with the bronco to teach my kids and because those were some of the best memories I have with my father. I do agree that I expect nothing from Nalley other than honoring the x-plan and/or not going over MSRP. After working in customer service most of my adult life I don't understand why it has become such a foreign concept. I am at this point going to stick with Nalley just because I'm not willing on taking a chance of losing my place in the order process despite them stating it will not change. Hopefully when it is all said and done and we all have our Broncos we can have fun and enjoy them with all of this behind us.

@FailedSaint That's fair enough. The service department taking a hit does have an effect, but with service departments, I find it harder to rate a dealership unless you have to bring in a vehicle constantly, which is usually a bad sign with the dealer and the make. They'll basically be doing oil changes for me (hopefully nothing more regularly). Doing your own wrenching is great. I'll be adding and removing my own mods, but I'm not a mechanic at all, so will work with dealerships while under warranty. When out of warranty will find an off road shop to do any work and even change the oil, etc. All of this is off your original topic, but may still be good information for someone else reading.
