The northeastbronco6g fb group is doing a brunch this Sunday. Next weekend is St Patrickā€™s Day weekend. Not sure if thatā€™s a good weekend for a drive or a bad one? The CapeCod Bronco group is working on a osv drive in Apriish.

Where are folks coming from? We could do Duxbury Plymouth area or Falmouth area?

This Sunday March 19th. Novice offroad ride in Thompson, CT. Hosted by a Bronco Northeast Facebook group member.

Stock friendly run. Chance to go out with the family or friends to try out your skills. This will be a novice friendly ride, some trails, some rocks, some hills, and some mud. I'm looking for a few rigs interested in checking out what they can do.

@Murph914 Would love to know how this was. Is there a resource of offroading options for randos that occassionally want to go offroading but are stuck living in Boston area with no-where to go? Basic question is where can I go where I can pay a little (or go for free) to go mess around for a day and drive home? I know they just opened one in NH north of Berlin, but that's 3-4 hrs. Seems like there is a market opportunity to serve this quickly growing car segment. I would like to see more ski areas offering this.

@SkyKing Iā€™m still a noob so I can only speak to my limited experience in the past year. Basically if you want to go wheeling you meed to go with friends so you donā€™t get stuck and you encourage each other to push forward. I found the northeast bronco 6g group the most active Bronco group around that goes offroading in the area. As far as where - there are a lot of places around, but in general VT and MA do not have much because of politics in place. NH is the best Iā€™ve seen including the Roadeo which is hosted at Gunstock, but I do not know of any ski mountains open to public wheeling. Last weekend we went to Thonpson, CT and found some trails. Ma Bell is the only one in Mass I know of. Supposed to be somewhat short but good, and depending on your base could be the closest. Armor Ditch in Ossipee, NH is the only Bronco friendly offroad park in the area. Most trails wind up being for bikes or motorcycles or hiking so be careful about that. Guys that solo are generally the more advanced experienced guys. To start off keep an eye out for events and join along. Most guys that go out have 35s - less than 33 keep an eye out. Just trying to offer some advice. Pm me or head over to fb for more info. @SkyKing

@SkyKing I'm in the same boat: in Boston (Mission Hill) and any serious off-roading is a few hours away. One solution is to combine trips: if you have any reason to go to NH, then do a overnight and devote a day to wheeling.. Do your tax-free shopping (tools, Bronco parts, pet food). Look into NH Class VI roads: unmaintained, sometimes with obstacles. Check out the Trans (or cross) NH Trek, starting at the Quebec border and zigzagging to the coast, most on unimproved road, 2-3 days, camp or motel. Message me if you think you'll be up in NH for a day, maybe I can join.
