Them woods is callin! Time to roll out.

It's been hot and rainy mixed with vacations, but if any are down, have a few trails a bit East of our normal haunts that should be fun. Sort of up I-85 in that area.

Thinking about next weekend, so let me know if interested.

Put me in as a maybe. Traveling most of September so some trail time would be good before that.

Hey everyone, sorry, was out of pocket this weekend. Thoughts are a trail network up in Helen. Specifically, Tray Mountain Road, which then connects to Corbin Creek Road. Tray is listed as moderate, Corbin as easy. Total of these two are about 18-20 off road miles. Should be a fun little adventure, as I've always wanted to do Tray, but it was closed most of last year due to wildfires in the area. Well, no threat of that right now, so it's a good time to hit these up. Meet at trail at 10am. Will post to those interested.

@MadMan4BamaNATL Tray was pretty mild but it has been several years since i have been out there. I recall VW buses heading up the back side of it last time out.

Not that much further to Beasley?

I’ll join Tray, agree is fairly mild but typically a nice ride.

Anyone done Popcorn? Not too far from Tray. Or Beasley. Could do a bolt on after Tray for those who want to go up further north for more difficult options.

@Brrrnco I'm not doing Beasley again for a while. Once I upgrade my rack, maybe, but I'm a no for this ride. Also, was thinking Sunday instead of Saturday; forgot to mention that.

@Brrrnco This one would need to be Sunday. As for Beasley, it's a muddy mess even in dry weather. In the current conditions, I imagine it's much worse. Although fun, you must be fully prepared for that place. The entire area is next level in spots.

Trailhead meet time: 10:00am EST. I’ll arrive a little earlier and will be on GMRS Ch 5.

It’ll be hot, so sun clothing, sun screen, and plenty of fluids highly recommended. Careful with footwear and it will likely be buggy, so repellant highly recommended.

@MoMoBBen24 I should really do a better job of keeping up with all of the different southeast events. I will not be making it up there but looks interesting.

We could try again for this Sunday. Weather looks unseasonably cool but looks like there is going to be a ton of rain from now to then.

Sundays are typically hard for me, but can do Sat.

@Brrrnco I am out for a saturday ride this week. Having to take some time to look at some hot tubs and swim spas out of my trail time. It is tough work but somebody has to do it!

If this weekend doesn’t work, next weekend will be my last available for August, so let’s see who would be down. This weekend being wet sounds like fun, but lets see how it goes for Aug 9?

Me and the fam are going to be in N Ga on Saturday so depending on the run we may be in.

My last weekend here in North GA. I'm headed up near Cohutta if anyone wants to tag along.
