So question for those who have added gas cans to their setup I'm looking for some spare cans just don't know what's best b and most secure for offroading....I have a two door first edition and my girl has a 4 door wildtrack

What kind of rack do you have? It's not a good idea to carry spare gas inside the vehicle.

@CalvinT I don't have a roof rack but I've seen gas holsters for the tailgate..or a ratchet strap for the spare tire or even molle plates and the rear window

I looked at the Rotopax and decided they're not an option. They're convenient but don't hold enough unless you get the four gallon one. The four gallon one is unwieldy. And they're plastic. I bought two Wavian gas cans. They're NATO (military) quality and are easier to manage. I'm debating the best way to carry them. That will give me 10 gallons. Less capacity doesn't make much sense in the Western US.

Remember the tailgate can only support 130 pounds. Weigh your spare.
