Hi All,

If anyone can get up along HWY 395 before winter, I highly recommend. I went out there for a few days and it was awesome riding/camping. Lots of folks out and about but still a good time off-road and exploring all the mountain passes. Still some snow up high.

This is the group content I've been looking for. Thanks dude! Can't wait to do this kind of stuff with the Bronco.

Even though there were tons of people, we were still able to find camping spots on a Saturday. Thunderstorms at night so bring water cover.

As a non-native Californian, any recommendations on a route or place to start/go? I'm also a moto tent-camper currently. Would you still recommend given my means of transportation?

I'm sure lots of folks have areas they are passionate about. I love the central Sierra and different trails you can go from Tahoe South to Yosemite. For this last trip I started on HWY 4 and went over Ebbetts Pass which is a scenic route. There are many turn offs and side roads you can take and explore along this path. Also went on to 89, which takes you to 395. There are tons of camping and off road'n.

Tons of Rivers/Lakes. If you just google map it, you can see all the best places. We went South on 395.

When we have the ability to share trails, I can send you my path in the new Bronco. I wonder if that function will be live day 1.

I dunno if you're familiar, but I frequent Mono Village near Bridgeport on Twin Lakes. Beautiful. Great scenery, fishing, camping, etc. It's kind of my/our "secret spot," but know I can't be the only one that goes there in this forum. Haha

Yes, all good spots. We typically prefer to be more in the mountains though when camping.
