Well... I've been on assignment at the Webasto Bronco hardtop facility for a week. Let's just say it's been interesting.

That is just mean, come on, it’s only us listening......

I don't want to say very much until after my assignment at the factory is over. They are not even close to production pace by any means at this point.

I told my son he should apply for the summer (he is at MSU currently)/ He said something about not wanting to be inside all summer...... My understanding is they need workers big time. I am sure that's just one of many issues.

@Mattwings They have multiple employment services trying to man up their operations. I have watched interviews being conducted. The building is temperature controlled and is brand new.

$17 to start including a $3 covid hazard hourly bonus pay. If they ever drop back down to $14 an hour though... Good night!

@Nite93 Do they hire seasonal? He actually knows how to work and do stuff. He is has a job for South Lyon right now for the summer, mowing, he likes being outside, but $ talks....

I'm scheduled for 2 weeks at the factory. Possibly, with the option to re-up. I'll gladly share or spill once the final check cashes, so to speak.

they still having issues with the tops? Last I heard they weren't sealing well

I never saw a description of the issues, other than Webasto was having trouble producing them (not that there aren't issues, just never saw actual verification of what they were). I know my buddy who is an engineer for a roof tier 1 supplier describes all sorts of crazy issues and fixes that come up in the process of designing and manufacturing them.

It’s funny, I’m. It a soft top guy, but all the videos and pics of them have me interested in adding one possibly in the future!
