'Cuse & Greater CNY Bronco Club

A place for soon to be 6th gen owners in the Syracuse and surrounding areas to talk about our new rides and maybe schedule some event cruises in the area.

It is great to see this group pop up for the Syracuse area! I ordered my Race Red Wildtrak Bronco through Dave Smith Ford just outside of Buffalo. I ordered it with the Lux package, towing, rock rails, roof racks, keypad entry, and the cloth interior.

Have you gotten a build date or anything? Mine is the 7/12, hopefully I get a window sticker in the next couple of weeks. Really dreading it getting pushed back until August, or worse.

What was your reservation time stamp date?

@NY WLDTRKBRONCO I have been misremembering it actually. I just looked it up, reserved 7/15 unknown time. It was early am though, like 0100 or something.

Original order: A51 Wildtrack, mid pkg, tow, steel bumper

Revised order: A51 Obx, Sas, 2.7L, high pkg, soft top, aux switch

Basically tried to turn the Obx into a softtop Wildtrack... My wife is more interesred in the creature comforts anyways, so it wasnt a huge loss for her. Nearly the same price as well. She appreciates the steps more than the sliders so tjats another bonus. Had to sacrifice the bumper for the high pkg as well, she will get more every utility from these changes as well.

Funny, because I went back and forth from the Wildtrak and the OBX. I did not want the steps, but like the mirrors the body color, my wife also asked how it would be to get into the Bronco, and I said you step up into it. I also want to put the rock rails on it, so the steps were an item I did not need. I started with the High pkg, but I wanted the heated steering wheel and had to get the lux pkg for that. I figured I am already paying a lot for the Bronco, what's a little bit more for something that cannot be added after it is built.
I am sure you feel the same way about the wait and it will be totally worth it, which is why I am I am not complaining.

We felt the opposite with the heated steering wheel, it already costs so much, and going high to lux was just not worth it. We were originally going for mid, but high adds 360 copilot and 12" screen which is a must have imo. The BO system is trash imo, its in My Mach E and I am not impressed. My RAM 1500 had a better sound system stock, not even the upgraded Alpine.

LOL, I love it! I had the same feelings about some of the items, and it took a while to come to the decision for all the extras. For me, this will probably be the last brand new vehicle that I purchase, so I wanted to make sure that I did not regret not getting an option. I hear you on some of the items, but I do like the heated steering wheel for the cold NY weather, and I really did not care about the sound system. Definitely, the 12-inch display is key, that was a must, along with the hardtop. The only thing I did not want in the Bronco is leather seats, I actually like clothe.
That is exciting that you have a build date! Super cool!! I will go nuts when that email comes in!!

We arent cloth people either, so i am glad that was a solo option and didnt unneccesarily add cost to any of the other options.
