Hi all, 7/14 99r here. I was hoping to buy a '22 with a white top, but we all know that's not a possibility. Instead, I am now trying to decide whether to go MIC or soft top with the hope of purchasing a white top in '23 and replacing the top I get on my '22. Prior to placing the order later this month I wanted to check and see if anyone was interested in a "cheaper" two top solution, i.e. buying my '22 top when I get the '23. If you have any interest just let me know. Thanks.

If you're just now placing your order later this month, and you go with the MIC top, you'd likely be looking at a 2023 build date anyways. If you place the order with a soft top you're likely looking at a mid to late 2022 delivery unless you get lucky. Honestly, at this point you're probably just better off waiting till 2023 orders open and placing an order for a white top then.

Thanks for the info. I have a 99d 7/14 reservation and my wife says I need to stop using her car. I'm hoping to be good on a pre 23.

so selling your '22 MIC 2.0 top in '23? I'm planning on getting a hard top eventually (was originally a MOD, then MIC, and now soft just to get the darn truck), so i'd be interested.

@karguy08 Yep exactly. Thanks for reaching out. Until seeing the options pricing when they roll it out in the next few weeks I wont have a ball park number. I'll let you know if I decide to go that way.

If you have the cash I would go MIC and paint it for the white top. Plenty of folks doing that after delivery. I am waiting on the MIC top for my BD. I really hope it's a 1H 2022 build, because I don't think I can keep waiting. 2022 BD will have fog lights in the bumper which is a perk, but I am not as excited as I was at launch back in 2020.

I have a painted hardtop coming in 2023. Anything else just requires me to jump through more hoops. I'll wait.
