Jersey / East Cost Bronco

For everyone to get ideas and talk about new things they find out about the Bronco and maybe get together and have some fun
JBMontclair
Ok, So I am talking with a friend about taking my bronco to Rausch Creek Offroad Park (https://www.rc4x4.org/) on Friday!! Their site does say you need groups of at least two and it looks like they prefer if you arrange a party before you go. I am new to off-roading and my rig is a stock BD non-sas, but I think there should be enough there to keep it interesting. So I am floating this to see if there is any interest in forming a group.

So if you are interested reply to this.. If there is enough interest we can then move to a private conversation to talk logistics, contact info, etc.

Would love to go. I have been there a half dozen times with my FE.
Mostly green trails but also some blue and some black. I did go up Barney Rubble!!! Thank god for skid plates and sliders!!!
The only problem is work on Friday!!
Saturday or Sunday would be best for me....

Yeah, I hear that.. I had already taken off friday since i have off thursday for veterans day and figured i'd make a 4day weekend out of it. Weekends for me are still a hassle till kids sports season's are done. Being a noob im fine with starting easy...

@JBMontclair also check out off road consultants they do rides at both RC and AOAA. green rides are like $35.00. Plus park fee. Well worth it to go with them

Im also new to offroading - cant wait to go though. TBd on this week but possible. This might be a stupid question, but is it cool to bring your kids for the ride if you stick to the greens?

no idea on that.. checkout the page and see what they say - you may have to pay for them to enter at the very least.. I am also working on a cross post over on the PA group as the short notice should mean few takers... Even if i get no one i likely will still go over on friday, unless other life things come up like they always do

@WingedBronco i wish you did too. fords gotta get these orders delivered, too many people waiting too long. I really hope they can keep to and expand the system of being able to custom order but to do that production has to start being able to meet up with demand and supply has to be such that dealer lose the incentive to ADM and instead see profits due to volume not markups or the reboot of the brand they are betting on will sour

@JBMontclair please put me on the list/in the group. I won't be back in NJ until after Thanksgiving though.

@Perfect-Beast-2 The idea is to go for a trial run on Friday and see how it goes, then I guess whoever goes can report back to the rest. I'm hoping since it is still on a weekday it would be less traffic that whatever they see on normal weekends. In the end it would be nice if we can spin this into an active wheeling group with scheduled outings. That is provided there are people who also wish that to be so. Hopefully there are some of us that have past jeep experience and can show us the ropes

@WingedBronco I had a 97 Wrangler (TJ) Sport... I never got to do much with her since not long after I was raising babies. There were a couple of years where she went idle as at the time I wasn't sure what to do about the case of death wobble it developed.. Eventually that got fixed but she was rusting from the bottom up and had to go - apparently brake lines are one of those things that you need - who knew

Anyways, anyone else interested in a Friday ride in PA? - sounds like @Tunagates is a maybe

So far I'm still on for Rausch Creek Off Road Park for Friday.. I made contact with a '21 Rubicon off the Rausch Creek Connections FB group.. So far that's the best way to find a group to meet the 2 vehicle minimum. I figured this out by IM'ing the main FB account for them and they responded back very quickly.. It will be a long day for me with a 3hr drive there and another back but I guess that's what we have to do to find trails. If anyone is interested last minute let me know - I expect to make it there around 10:30ish. If so I will try to monitor DMs from here and we can trade info.

155 miles one way. That will add up quickly. Google is telling me 2:40 travel time. It is all interstate and goes quickly enough as I recall. Have a great time.

You guys go? I just saw this. I probably won't make it this year before it gets too cold but would definitely go next year. I had my BD out twice on local trails. I have a couple jeep owning co workers that go to RC couple times a year.
