Update!! Trip complete, this trail is known to be tight and it is. Be prepared for long stretches of rocky road, deep muddy water crossings with mostly hard bottom, and a handful of calf to knee high rock step/ledges. It took me about 5 hours I stayed conservative but had fun and stuck to the main trail because it was my first time through. I did see some side trails that looked difficult to impossible for a street machine.

I have base on 33's with open dif, only aired down to 30 I stayed in sand mode and 4 low, I tried to block out the scratching sounds from branches as I used my trail assist on the long rocky sections of road and it made the ride a lot more comfortable. On the rock ledges when I would start to slip I just held a low rpm and let the traction control go to work, and it worked well. The deep water is a little daunting solo one hole in particular is very deep, I suspected so when I spotted a community tow strap sitting in a box next to the trail, you can see the waterline on the doors and the water came up and over the bumper, I got luck because the water was low as it is pretty dry on the mountain. I did not take the side trails on this waterhole because it looked very tight on one side and very rutted on the other. I will run it the opposite direction next time it is more challenging because I turned around for a couple stretches.

Gonna call this ride the “Prom Run”.
I am glad a few people showed some interest, hopefully more will join, it would be nice to meet and ride with some other bronco owners.
This trail looks tight and will pinstripe your doors.
Looks easy/moderate depending on the weather and what line you want to take.
It is very likely to have some water to work through.
I have base and will probably run 33,s so it would definitely be nice to have some friendly people on the trail together.
I had in mind to go 64 west to the blue ridge parkway south.
Meet up at The Slacks overlook for a 10am departure to the southern trail head.
Gear up, meet up and start at the southern trail head run the trail through midpoint to the north end and then get refreshments in the Rock Fish Valley at Blue Toad cidery.
It looks like the weekend of the 15th will work for me weather permitting.
None of this has been finalized and are just ideas.

Hello everyone, This Saturday the 16th looks like a great opportunity to make this trip, is anyone able to meet me at the meeting spot?

Repost this, I’m definitely interested but this post may need to be at the top of the feed to get more attention. Maybe plan like 30-45 days in advance?
