Hey all, what dealer is the best to order from given current allocation mess? I have a late rez at Granger and am trying to get something sooner than late 2023 if possible. Happy to travel a ways for the right dealer. Based in SLC fwiw

If you can, go with a big dealer for better allocation allotment. LHM or Ken Garff. Get them to agree on MSRP before transferring though.

@TheKim Not going to be able to transfer since order is in, was just going to place a new order before the deadline. Any thoughts on which is better? Heard mixed things on LHM

@UZJBronco Call LHM Draper and ask for Dave Sikich. He might be able to get you MSRP, and they have decent allocation.
Let Dave know you talked to Kim, he'll take care of you.

@UZJBronco i had a great experience with Will Shields at LHM Super Ford downtown. Tell him I sent you if you talk to him.

Tough call. Converted Granger order here. Finding a dealer locally that will give you any information on allocation is almost impossible. Could be that a mega dealer like LHM would have some allocation, but they may not. And they certainly won't tell you much. I was with them initially before a transfer to Granger. It really is a crap shoot now. Wouldn't doubt with looming March 7th order cutoff some dealers aren't interested in much of a conversation. Been reports on forum of dealers declining new orders now.

When I was calling around Fall of 2020 the most transparency and honest folks I found was in Morgan. Young Ford up there were straight forward. Very small dealer though and the wait there may be as long as Granger. May want to just put work in and see if you can get lucky with one on a lot somewhere out west. Sorry Ford screwed you (And Granger) with the change in the rules.

@1975U15 so you decided just to wait it out with Granger? Reading the other responses it seems like either Ford gets production up to the point where I don’t need to play games or everyone is equally long a wait and requires huge deposits.

@UZJBronco We took delivery in October so were one of the lucky ones.

So excuse the long response but I also put in a second order. I'm near Provo and put my order in Dec 28, 2021. 4 DR Badlands, High, MIC, SAS, 2.7. LHM Provo told me 3 to 12 months and required $1000 non-refundable deposit. A week later, after spending lots of time in this here and the other site I dropped the hard top and SAS and received a build date within 3 days (second week of March). Dealer was amazed, rep said never seen one that fast. Although Badlands is close to SAS and I'll be using it as a daily driver, I put in a second order for my wife at the end of January. Said the same thing--3 to 12 months. That order also required $1000 but it can be applied to any car if I cancel the order. The second order was basically my original. I called around to all of the "good dealers" listed on a spreadsheet I found in this forum in Utah and even a couple in California. All of them required a deposit. LHM Draper was $2500! I also asked about wait times and ALL of them (except LHM Provo) said at least 1 year but up to 3. I'm not too worried as I will either love the first and keep it or resell when the next one comes along without a huge loss--although things will tighten up at some point. Breakeven would be great. I honestly think I may have them 99 my order until March 9th and change to a Wildtrak with the new suspension. Wish you could get vinyl on that one. I haven't even picked up my first but I spoke to others who purchased there and said they gave MSRP as promised. I have asked my rep no less than 20 times to confirm on the MSRP as they don't give any signed purchase agreement. But again, feedback on this site and from other customers is that they will honor it on customer orders. I bug them all the time but they will never give a straight answer on allocation. They have about 200 reservations but only some fraction converted. They obviously have some allocation because they received about 15 builds last go-around. Anyway, happy to discuss further if you want to DM me.

I ended up going with LM Draper a couple weeks ago. I almost went with LM Provo since they are closest to me. Went with LM Draper because I figure their allocation would be more. $2500 non-refundable but can use on another vehicle. Seems a bit much for something I may not see for a year or two but heard about incoming price increases so pulled the trigger. Signed papers for MSRP and they advised I would most likely have to re-order a 2023 - 2 door BL, SAS, High, 2.7. It will be a toy/3rd vehicle so I'm not too worried about it.

Good to pull the trigger. Who knows what will really happen. Supply constraints will ease and things will probably improve a lot quicker than anticipated. Now get set up for Moab Off Roadeo, wife and I are going Friday the 4th.
