Hi NTX Bronco folks, I am trying to find a credit union to join for financing. Any suggestions based on good experience with service and finance rates?

I used PenFed (on line bank) I got a super low rate (back in March 1.9%) and I was approved in about 10 minutes.

@GeebeeBronc I dont recall it asking me? But I work for a K-12 Public school, so if it did ask me, I would have said yes...

@GeebeeBronc Thanks good to know. I am researching I don't have any ties to healthcare, schools, government which usually have some credit union connections.

We bounce between TexansCU and Credit Union of Texas. We typically also get an initial rate from DCU since they typically offered under 2% in the past and got them to beat their rate.

@GeebeeBronc I like credit union of Texas way better since I can pay by debit instead of ach. But I will take either.

But I will switch back and forth when they run deals for refinances for lower rates + cash.
