Serious ? Not sure if it’s been talked about. But
Is anybody having their windshield replaced for this recall. I got no leaks or wind noise and i really don’t want to mess with it. My windshield failing in a crash is the least of my worries. Think i’ll just ride it out and see how Pepe handles freezing temps this winter!?

Are they replacing the windshield or just resealing it?

Just resealing it from what I understand.

My understanding is they are cutting you existing windshield out cleaning up the edge and replacing the existing windshield. the only problem I have with that is the possibility of edge damage to the windshield while cutting it out.
Since I don't have any wind noise coming from around the windshield I'll pass on this recall.

i'm in no hurry to have it done for sure.. I'm thinking wait for a chip/crack.. then when they remove it and it breaks its on them ;-). If i'm wearing my seatbelt, have a crash, and the windshield flies out, i'm pretty sure the seatbelt and airbags will keep me from flying out of the open windshield..... I took mine in for first oil change friday at Randall Ford, they didnt ask or mention the recall, and neither did I.

@Ragtop1962 just got his recall notice. I didn't get invited to that fancy soirée. I only got tickets to the lowly "Fuel Pump / APIM / Child-proof Locks" hootenanny.

My recall say's just a resealing it.

I'm waiting for my windshield to get it's first crack, then I'll use the recall (if it can work like that).
