Are there any dealers that have information on this? My ice mountain bronco is finally on its way to me. Myself and several others from our build week are showing that there is no longer a windshield recall on our VINs.

I initially thought they must have repaired the windshield adhesion at the factory. However, some people who have already taken delivery are no longer showing a recall either, even though they have not had the repair done yet.

I have looked on both Fords website and NHTSA. Can a recall just be removed like this? Even if it were an issue with Fords website, I would think the NHTSA would still have record of our VINs needing the recall.

I can’t comment with an answer as to why but I just checked mine and confirm the recall has been removed as well.

I got the notice in the mail, but haven't followed up. Be a while before I take mine in for it, same goes for the child locks.

UPDATE: I just checked and both of my recalls still show up.

We just got the notice in the mail how did you check that it’s gone? On FordPass? In theory I guess if they recieved information that certain date ranges were not affected they could drop The recall.

Hmmm... the icon for recalls in the FordPass app shows 1. When I tap on it, it takes me to Ford's website that still shows 2. Don't know what's going on. Windshield has a crack in it anyway so I wasn't planning on getting the recall done until I was ready for a replacement anyway.

My main job is warranty, if they identified the actual number of the problem vehicles then they could remove the recall from those that would not need it. The usually put out a number then modify it once more manufacturing information is available.

My dealer told me I had the recall and when I called the other day they said it didn’t show it

My vehicle has it removed as well. I would venture to guess they figured out exactly which vehicles ended up with the adhesive that was incorrectly applied and removed the people who were not built through that line.

Thanks for all the info! My build date was 1/25, so it would make sense if they were able to nail down the exact dates that I might have actually not needed the recall. I’m not complaining, it’s one less thing to delay my already 6 month delayed delivery!
