What's this mean for the Granger deal? Let's phone our friend.

Not sure but in either case ... the Granger deal is sounding all that much better!

Hmmm, I bought Ford stock specifically to obtain X Plan pricing and in August specifically to meet the 6 month holding requirement. Not sure I will accept this. Still going with Grainger, but willing to be a thorn in Ford's side over this.

Ford is starting death by a thousand cuts. I share your hope, but excluding pricing plans should have been data expressed before reservations were taken. This smacks of a BS tactic by Ford particularly since it does not even have a showroom model in dealerships. I think the logical approach is that X Plan be left to the dealer to determine on reservations prior to Ford's announcement. Or, this is my leverage with Ford for a removable rear seat.

@hbms17 It's clearly caving to dealers. I wonder if this was a compromise to allow for transferring reservations around. I don't think Ford gets anything from dealers going over invoice, so not sure what their incentive would be to do this except to appease dealers.

Saw this, want to confirm with local dealers first. In some ways this gives us more leverage with our local dealers because it makes it a pretty straightforward financial decision: either you play ball or I walk and save $2.5k.

I believe you are right that anything above invoice, which should be what the dealer pays, does not go to Ford. Dealers make money on the sale price and the holdback not counting any dealer add-ons. Since X Plan is Ford based discounting, I could easily see dealers lobbying to exclude Broncos since they are a hot item.

And, also agree Grainger is still the best deal I have found. I bought my first F150 from a SC dealer selling at $500 below invoice. He told me he was aiming for volume and the holdback. Some of the best BBQ I have ever had was eaten going to get that truck.

Best deal and service thus far at Granger! The first dealership to step up to plate and hit a home run, while all these other dealerships are putzing around wondering what to do, or trying to figure how to get more on less. I am at ease, and content, with my deal and have no problems paying $450 for shipping ........ or even waiting a little longer for it if need be. They, Granger, have earned my business. Mic drop!
