Contemplating making a run Saturday. Would prefer an early start but can be flexible.

Was thinking of going down old bucktown then over to Ellijay to grab lunch and a beer at cartacay brewing.

If anyone wants to join we can figure out a good start time. Meeting place would be Nimblewell Church.

May post over with the ranger boys a well.

Last time was 10am meetup plus we got a late start. So I'd be down with earlier meetup. Especially with this heat. Good on the lunch too.

Have a 3pm tee time in woodstock so as long as I can still make that I am still game.

Will probably need to move to an earlier lunch or let whomever shows up do lunch without me.

Could be interested. How challenging is Bucktown?

@cashe3 its not bad going down. Up is more challenging. Shouldn't need a spotter but will gladly help out if it makes anyone more comfortable.

Im in a mechanically unmodified black diamond and have had no issues.

I plan to be at the church by 8:30 AM and rolling out by 9:00AM.

Will post GPS coordinates to the trail head up the mountain later today.

Lets beat the heat as best we can.

@MyATV We can always pivot the after plans if need be depending on when we get off the trail. The brewery in Jasper is pretty good as well and a little further south. Most of the small breweries have some sort of set up for nearby restaurants to deliver. The trail essentially spits you out north of 52 so getting places after is pretty easy.

@MyATV @cashe3 if you have a chainsaw I recommend brining it tomorrow. High odds there will be some trees down at some point.

I have one that I'll be packing with me.

@Rspayde Sigh, I'm cityfied now. My little baby chainsaw is electric and I doubt the cord will reach ;)

@MyATV Wet shouldn't effect us to much. The bottom will be pretty soupy but it drains pretty well. The mud holes will be nice and full so it will make for some good photo ops.

@Rspayde And if we run up on a big tree blocking us, I'm all for snapping a pic of it, turning around and finding a pub.
