I have created an event in our FB group for a drive tomorrow. I'm including all of you who aren't on FB to join us as well.
We're going on a scenic drive tomorrow. This is a very easy road and is newbie and Bronco Sport friendly.
We will meet at the Bashas parking lot in Gold Canyon at 8 am. From there we will leave promptly at 8:15 headed towards Miami. From there we will turn north up towards Young, Arizona.
Along the way we will stop at the Workman Creek tubs for a break and possible playing in the water. Next we will proceed north through Young up to highway 260 and turn left heading into Payson.
From there we will head back down to the valley. This will be an all day event as google maps shows the route to be just over 5 1/2 hours plus allowing for our stops we're probably looking at 7-8 hours total door to door.
No gear is required for this trip although having a gmrs walkie talkie radio is helpful. We carry spares so don't rush out to buy one just for this trip.
