Windrock Broncos

Anyone heading to Windrock this weekend? Going up with a couple buddies in SxS and thought it might be good to meet up with some other Broncos.

I wish I could, Rob might meet up with you if he is free.

I wish I could but I sort of dug a few big holes in my yard and my wife wants me to finish this job before I go out and play.

@Valhalla When I opened the link on my computer it took me to Apple to get the APP. I already have it on my phone. I think now that I saved it I should be able to use my computer to see it.

FYI I looked at 82 from 83 today, built Grand Cherokee was attempting the climb.. that’s out of my league there but sure was fun to watch

looks like if you go reverse start on 83 to 82 going downhill is a bit better

I can bring a battery powered jack hammer, grinder, chain saw to remove what ever we have to(-; Worse comes to worse I have a friend building a recovery truck and wants to try it out. I will get his phone number just in case.

Next for me is a trans skid, need one that works w factory skids and sway bar disconnect. I’m leaning toward ASFIR

@865Bronco I have the RCI tranny skid plate, it works with the factory skids. I had to take off the small one covering the steering rack, but the RCI covers it also.

Mike, was it you who showed me this? Can't remember??

@Valhalla The crossmember skids or the tranny skids most likely not. I figured you already had them. After my OBX high centered I figured I better get the BL armored up. I am looking at the Transfer case, rear diff, and A arm skids. I am calling poor right now so it will be awhile. I am also wanting a new rear bumper but not sure what one.

Your BL has a transfer case skid. I haven't worried about transmission because the pan is so high.everything armored or not under mine has taken a beating.

@Valhalla Well that will save me some cash flow. I installed the tranny skid for piece of mind. The same with the rest. I figure it will look really cool in the Map Parking Lot.

The non Bronco group that is going on this run was curios if we would consider going to Walden ridge ( trail 75 ) and winch the two hard parts so we could run it. IF it is dry, otherwise run the planned route. one person who is going veto's it and we'll stick to the planned run.... watch a video of it if you've never seen it. Two early broncos we know ran it last weekend on 35's winching at those two spots.

They say the climb (which we intend to winch up) and the drop are the only real obstacles. The rest is just taking your time and picking the line. The drop we are winching down if it is to bad.

hope you had an epic trip. I went up yesterday but nowhere near 75

It was awesome, very technical but very doable how I'm set up. I'll post more later. Now the bad. I blew a driverside front axle. It was probably ten minutes after using the trail turn assist.we had two 1st generation Broncos 3 heeps and one Taco watching. I've got some pictures and some video.
