The group is for Ohio Bronco enthusiasts looking to meet up and discuss everything to do with the Bronco, off- roading and tuning and whatever else brings us together. Its a Bronco Family
Does anyone have suggestions/recommendations for fun roads/trails to check out in the south west part of Ohio? I'm thinking old roads, dirt roads, and so on.
Hey all -
I'm a new Bronco owner (2-door hardtop Black Diamond/Sasquatch) and I'm looking to connect with people who might be doing off-road trips and/or just meeting to talk Bronco stuff (recommended add-ons, tips, cool merchandise, etc). I live in the Dayton Wright-Patt AFB area, but if you guys get together to meet in person, I could drive for a meet/gathering.
So far, I've only been doing relatively trivial customization (e.g. Molle panels on the interior to stow gear) - I've only had it a few weeks.
I'm super-interested in meeting some folks for off-road trips, or recommendations for off-road destinations. I'm going to restrict myself to relatively mild trails for a while until I get an intuitive sense of where the vehicles' corners are, and where its tires touch the trail (don't want to damage a new vehicle from simple unfamiliarity). I've got some experience off-roading, but haven't done it in a while (3/4 ton full-size pickups are ungainly at best on trails).
Other random questions you guys might be able to help with...
- has anyone been able to find a Bimini (aka "Bikini") top for rain protection with top-off? Running w/out the front half of the roof is cool, but I'd really like to put a hoist on the garage ceiling to remove the back half of the hardtop. But to do that, I want some rain protection for the dash/center-console against pop-up T-storms, and inaccurate weather forecasts (you know the weather here: "If you don't like it, wait half and hour").
- I originally wanted a Badlands for the push-button sway-bar disconnect. I got impatient and bought a vehicle the dealer had in stock (hence the Black Diamond instead of Badlands). Any advice/info on disconnecting Bronco sway-bars before heading out on the trail? I go off-roading as the guide with a Jeep-buddy, and I'm hoping manual sway bar disconnect is as simple on a Bronco as it is on a Jeep, but I'm worried, since Bronco is independent suspension.
- Any other tips, tricks, advice...
Just wanted to make a recommendation. 2-door Broncos are a bit minimal in the back storage space. This is an awesome solution, and alternative to having your gear rattling around loose in the back, or hidden in packs and duffle-bags you have to search through. BuiltRight MOLLE kit is great. Reattaching after removing the roof should be super easy. Attached is a photo of the installed kit, sans gear (hence the pack and duffle bag). I've got some gear bags and mounts on order. I'll try to post another photo when I get my gear installed on the MOLLE.
Anyone in central or southwest Ohio have a recommendation for Xpel stealth PPF? I've been looking around, and the one quote I got back was pretty outrageous, based on some of the other posts I've seen on the forum. I know it's not going to be cheap, but wasn't expecting $8-$9K...maybe I'm just wrong? Wouldn't be the first time.
Does anyone here have forscan and used it during a sound system uograde?
My wife got a 2023 Big Bend with the 6 speaker(sub delete) I wanted to get the 6.5” pods but I’m reading that you have to change it from tweeter to speaker using forscan.
I’m in the Cleveland area, just putting a feeler out for a light assist.
I posted this in the Broncos for sale tab, not sure how it shows up. So, I'll post in here as well. Remove if not allowed.
I have a 23' WT 354A 2 door available for sale here at the dealership. New. MSRP +$1716 for 5 year ceramic/ leather protection and diamond fusion windshield protection. $64,401 +ttl
My GM will most likely do A/Z plan plus the protections. Let me know if anyone is interested! He is tired of looking at it on the lot!

I just joined this group. I'm from Pickerington and a member of the Central Ohio group.
Don't know if anyone has driven their Bronco on a long road trip yet. We attended our Son's wedding in McKinney TX last month. We drove approximately 2,200 miles there and back. I've driven a lot of vehicles on long distance trips and the Bronco is without a doubt the most comfortable. On the was back I was ready to do the whole trip in a day but the wife wouldn't hear it. The only thing is, we did end up with a chip and a crack in the windshield. My seat is a little rippled. I thought the heavy duty vinyl would hold up a lot better. By the time we got back we averaged 17.8 miles to a gallon. I think the MPG would be better with 92 octane. All in all, I, we, are very pleased with our Bronco.
Anyone planning on going? Im 99% sure im going down... might be kinda nice to have a lil bronco convoy traveling south. I plan on going strictly for the vendors and doing some trail riding... and of course partake in the beverages.... prolly get a room somewhere close by down in Gatlinburg and drive over every morning.
I'm getting ready to move in a few weeks and have started to sell off a bunch of stuff I won't have room for. I have a set of 4 Door OEM rockrails that I had removed 2 months into ownership for my Rockslide Engineering steps. I was about to list them on facebook marketplace as well as the marketplace here. Let me know if you're interested. No dents or scratches and they've been garaged ever since I had them removed. Thinking of selling for $200. If you're interested please let me know.
