How do I confirm and correct this? Not even sure where the separation took place, the CV axle was never fully removed from the spindle.

I did fart around with shifting the transfer case into 4L while it was sitting in the garage while in neutral. it’s not acting like it’s in low tho

2WD or 4WD on level ground. I used a dead blow to disengage the CV axle from the Spindle. Used a socket on the nut to pull it back together.
