You might want to look into windshield protection films. I think there are several types now. I used one when I ran my car on the track. Not a complete solution, but it does help avoiding small chips.
It would be useful to check the oil level on the dipstick on a Bronco just off the truck or rail car from the factory. At least then we will know what the factory is doing. Someone with a new Bronco , please do this and tell us.
You have to think that they will as soon as they can. For them “More Broncos = More $.” They have a huge investment and not much return for various reasons. I am sure this is a big topic in the board room.
Of course,, I have. Done solar cooking too. Just seems hard to imagine things could lineup that well to melt his roof in that spot. He should move it someplace else to test. Maybe put something that melt easy in that same spot to see what might happen.
I live in Las Vegas, it is not unusual to see over 110 degree days in the summer. So, I come out to my Bronco (if I ever get it from Ford) and the top is melted into the Bronco? Sounds like a bit of a design problem.
I sold a car to Carvanna, it worked out well. I got my first offer from them, it was OK. But, was was not in hurry to sell. I had them update my offer about three weeks later. It was considerably higher, I sold it. Might be a way to get their best offer.
For a little added comfort, you might add a brake controller. I really like this one, no wiring required. It goes with the trailer not the tow vehicle. Not the cheapest option but neither is owning a Bronco.
