Unfortunately no longer under warranty but latch mechanism seems like it might be a simple enough swap unless it’s programmed in to the vehicle…thanks!
you'll have a sticker in your engine bay that has the build date of the engine only coded into it. Also, you should get emails on other side of production so while not an exact day it will give you the actual build week. Engine sticker explanation here...

I'm really starting to think this is the only meaningful recourse if we're not happy at some point with the response - get someone in this group to take one apart and document it thoroughly, videos + pictures + writeup somewhere. Still not convinced that is necessary but let's wait another month...
I'm not trying to be a dick with this comment, but you've spent a lot of time on this thread so you know the score. I really don't think you are going to get the definitive answers you're looking for in the timeframe you want.
So why pay that monthly bill? Maybe sell your vehicle and get back...
Financially a full recall just doesn't make sense unless Ford already believes a huge percentage will fail.
By definition, there are 2 orders of magnitude difference at 1% replacement (fixing broken) vs. 100 % replacement (recall). This is just an example - no one knows the true failure...
Thanks for posting. Following up on this post was on my to do list today. My coolant is just under min, not quite as bad as others but still technically should be filled considering the cold recommendation in the manual.
