It's been a couple of years so I'm not quite sure, but I think the installer used a nut with a larger flanged then cut parts of the flange straight so it wouldn't twist when tightening the bolt.

After the Bronco was at the collision center my window was tracking even worst than before. Finally got around to doing the recommended adjustment. So far so good on tracking but really didn't help on rattle. Window Adjustment You don't need the long screwdriver for leverage.

I know that this has been an issue for a while. Is it something that happens when the engine is fairy new, or later on? Ford states they think about 10% of the approximately 850,000 will experience failure. I got the 2.7L with 40K on mine, so I hope there is some trend going. I don't want to...

Also swapped out to Bilstein 5100's plus a rear anti sway bar. Yes the Bilsteins are pretty firm, but very little body roll with the two changes. Supposedly Rancho's ride a little softer, but they were on back order for forever and I finally gave up.

Thanks for the responses. I did hear from Mud Digger Design and they do have a rubber ring design to fit tight to the camera.

Thanks. This seems to be the most elegant solution. I'm going to measure opening and hopefully the above referenced grommet will work. If not off to the hardware store.

Brought a Mud Digger Design cover. It fits well but I'd like to get rid of the partial view as the hole cutout shifts in the camera view. Thanks
