Is this to actually remove the head or so you have plenty of room to get the timing components off and back on? I saw this posted earlier and just interested in the reason. Thanks.

But I have to assume the PCM tracks engine rotation count in various RPM ranges. So, if you've been "hot rodding" your Bronco, you're in the clear. If not, Ford takes the pleasure of seeing how many valves pieces spit through the turbo.

You trust your dealer more than I do. I haven't been to the dealer once for any recall or issue. I'm right in the middle of the failures but I'm at 43,000 miles with no issues. I'll wait for about 80,000 of the 90,000 go through the process before I do.
I've had RSE steps now for about 18 months. Zero issues with battery drain or magnets. I did have one controller fail because it got water in it. But RSE replaced it under warranty. I make sure I keep all moving parts lubed and spray inside the step boxes with fluid film to combat corrosion...
