As usual, GM is a couple years late to the 'retro' party. (think 2005 Mustang, then Camaro and Challenger following Ford's intro). Some competition could be a good thing....The V8 option should give Ford some incentive to also offer a V8. I do wish GM would go back a generation to the 67-72...

I was wondering that too. I took a look at the installation instructions.... While the pipes are the same pn on the two systems, the muffler pn's are different, #57817 for the Touring and #57818 for the S-Type. I have no idea what the difference is. I went the in the other direction you did...

Do you want something waterproof or to just keep debris and bird crap out? Something like a roll-up window shade or cargo cover could be adapted.
