Thank you…making up numbers here, if I purchase an 8 year ESP right after purchase then the factory warranty will be billed first for the duration of its warranty period (3 years) then the ESP kicks in…so buying an 8 year ESP early on is really 5 years of ESP?
Do I understand correctly that the ESP runs in parallel with the factory warranty? So you’re essentially doubling up your warranty during the factory warranty period? Just trying to understand the best time to purchase.

Completely agree…ordered 2dr badlands 3/1/22 and picked it up last week. Tow, 2.7, high…however I’m in metro detroit which is a truck delivery. Everything rail is a mess right now.
The leather probably isn’t a mistake…they most likely option all of the special orders like that knowing it’s usually the more desirable (high cost) option for retail should they back out
The only thing that will slow ADM for the next 12-18 months is the manufactures raising the dealer cost…which they will, because they are leaving money on the table. Eventually the cost and demand will equalize. As much as the OEMs and dealers love to sell new vehicles…the love servicing 2-5...
With no aftermarket support or salvage vehicles these all become captive parts for Ford…pricing will reflect that until alternatives becomes available.
Two big factors impacting this right now…on one side as everyone is aware it the cost of used cars to forcing insurance companies to total less (collision business is booming). However the other side the insurance companies are looking at the ETAs for part availability for repairs vs loaner...
