Your speaker upgrade is spot on. But it's like you dropped an engine with twice the horsepower into your car but did nothing with the tranny. Of course you'll see an improvement, but the potential of the hardware you've upgraded isn't being realized with the stock head unit. The Kicker amp will...
Turns out I have the exact same setup. I switched from the 2 to the 4ohm because the 2ohm was very “muddy”. The 4ohm gave a lot more clarity and a cleaner sound stage.
I’m running all switches up except the first for dc. I’ve tried every imaginable combination.
Make sure gains are completely backed off, and forscan has Eq at 00 and front and rears are Sp/Tw. If you’re running a sub, I find it easier to pull the fuse than turn it off with Forscan.
When you...
I bought this hitch. I don't need wiring since it's only for my bike rack. Is it really possible to install it without removing the bumper?!? I can't get to the bolts to get the nuts on. What am I missing?
Thanks for the info. I was asking about the NON-B&O 7 speaker sub-delete setup, but I believe there is no bass blocker on the pods. Since I'm running the Forscan 00 setting on the EQ, that should be bypassing the ACM equalization settings, applying only the Kicker dsp settings to the front and...
I’m running the 4ohm 6 3/4 Kicker sub with the Fusion amp. Will bumping up to the 8” using the fusion amp be a significant, or just marginal improvement? Also, we you able to do the trimming without removing the enclosure. And, what dremel attachment(s) did you use. I’m a dremel neophyte.

Can someone tell me if the rear pod wiring non-b&o 7 speaker sub-delete has bass blockers installed from the factory? I’ve got 6 1/2 Polk audios in the pods with polyfill. They sound ok but still a bit muffled. I re-ran the kicker 200.4 tuning at 25 volume, and did the gain...
Thank you! Great explanation. The Kicker 200.4 speaker connection is a harness connection for the front and back. How do I know where to put the probes? Can I test at the wire disconnected from the speaker?
I found this really interesting so I’m sharing. It’s long but worth the read. I have a multimeter but have no clue what I’m doing. Sometimes you just gotta say “WTF.”(Trivia…what movie is that from?)…
Using a multimeter to set the gain on an amplifier ensures that you are providing the right...

The "So or Sp/Tw" setting in Forscan's 727-01-01 configuration specifically controls the audio output through a code that is interpreted by the vehicle's Audio Control Module (ACM). Here's a breakdown of how it works:
1. **Code Interpretation**: Each digit in the Forscan setting...
This is where I get twisted up on how the Sp and TW settings in Forscan play into this. With my current setup, Sp all the way around with EQ at 0, was significantly better in terms of a more balanced sound across the frequency range. Now, with both sets of speakers in the front being 2-way...
