Thanks. Iām not going any deeper into amp upgrades. The sub will be my last change if I do it.
I might consider upgrading the kick panel speakers to a higher quality 6 āā¦probably stay with the Polk audios, but not sure if the ājuice is worth the squeeze ā on that change.
I am running the 4ohm Kicker sub with the fusion amp. Itās a great upgrade, but Iām looking for a deeper and clearer low end.
Does anyone have experience making a similar change and if so, can you describe the difference it made in the overall listening experience?

Across the front on the top. I also put foam stripping in the Velcro closed wrap going across the top that covers the middle support bar. It tightened up the fit and made it quieter. Iāll take pictures later today or tomorrow.

I changed my rear pods (6.5" Polk Audio) to Sp from Sp/Tw. I also packed the rear pods with poly fill.
The sound quality is so much better! More clarity, not as muffled. Very happy with the...
Same exact scenario, but I've gone through the winter up in the Berkshires. I put the panels back on end of October. I just put the Sunrider back on...spring is officially here! Both swaps are so easy once you've done it 1 time. ANYONE that owns the hardtop needs to get the Sunrider. It...
Iām reposting this to hopefully hear guidance on the relationship between hi-pass filter settings on the 200.4, the gain setting, and changing/eliminating bass blockers. Also willing to explore the poly-fill, as well as swap out the 6.75 4ohm kicker sub for an 8ā.

Setupā¦
Kicker 200.4, 4āpolk audio dash w/600 bass blocker, , stock kick panel, 6.5ā in Mabett pods w/300 blockers , 6.75ā 4ohm kicker sub with Fusion ampā¦all set to speaker/tweeter.
Other than changing filters and settings on the kicker, I donāt want to make any hardware changes.
The sound is...
That depends on the characteristics of the speaker. Speaker/tweeter/sub was best for me. I put in Mabett pods and 6.5ā Polk audios. Youāll need to experiment. If and when you add an amp to drive the other 6 speakers, youāll have to go through the setup again
A multi-meter will answer the obvious questionā¦is the power source to the amp live? If it is, that means the Forscan setting did itās thing. Bad amp is certainly a possibility.
The multimeter will also let you determine if a signal is going from the amp to the sub.
I settled on the 4 ohm 674 . Something that I hadn't mentioned...for those using the Kicker 200.4 amp, where you have the volume set on the head unit has a major impact on what you hear when adjusting the gains. I found doing the gain adjustments is done best at a lower volume setting than the...
I'm going to assume it was the sub. On the 2 ohm, I found at high volumes the sound coming out of the sub got very distorted. The level of distortion I was hearing I believe was "blow quality."
If it's the amp that blew, above my paygrade. That's more in @RagnarKon 's wheelhouse.
Hereās the Hex framework. You are correct on the 4 to a 6. If you want to leave everything else the sameā¦.thatās it, and changing the EQ setting to 00.
Depending on how your speakers sound, you can play with the speaker, vs speaker/tweeter settings as well.

Thanks Bryan...you answered my question. I've actually had several people that have ridden in the truck comment that the sound system sounds really good. I'm good with that.
I'm looking for the answer to the same question. What I don't want to do is run wires from the sub location to the acm/head unit. Will the PlugNPlay 500.1/harness offering provide a simple swap..pulling out the fusion and using the existing harness to simply slap in the 500.1? Will it provide a...
