  1. Recall 26S55: 2021-2026 Bronco - Engine Compartment Wiring Harness Repair [July 23, 2026] -- 590,000k units affected

I wouldn’t “buy” a vehicle that you cannot take delivery of. Too many risks, hail storm, someone backs into it on the lot, rodent damage, takes two months to get the recall done, heaven forbid you get sick and lose a job, etc.
  2. Oil formulations are changing due to geopolitics (i.e. Pennzoil Platinum) - time to test your preference...

I ride a motorcycle, shoot guns, sometimes walk briskly with scissors AND take my Bronco to the dealer for "free" oil changes using my Ford Points.
  3. Is my hardtop cracking?

Is my hard top cracking? Do you own a Bronco with a MIC top? Yes Yes, your hard top is cracking. Sorry, just look at it as a feature. This is truly one case where when the dealer service department says "They all do that", they are actually telling the truth.
  4. Ford Fathom EV Pickup ($28,350 Starting Price) - News & Info

Yup, choice and options are good. That's around a 24 hour charge to go from 20-80% on a Slate (63 Kwh battery).
  5. Ford Fathom EV Pickup ($28,350 Starting Price) - News & Info

10,000miles/year, 20 miles per gallon is 500 gallons, at 3/gal that's $1500, raise it to $4/gal and it's $2000, by my math that's $500, I rounded up to $500-$800. Buying an EV to save money on gas really doesn't pan out for me, and like I said that analysis doesn't include the cost of...
  6. Ford Fathom EV Pickup ($28,350 Starting Price) - News & Info

Buy a hybrid CRV and call it a day. Or don't, I don't really care what you drive. You're the one that asked if $4 gas is an issue and no, it's not for me. I drive what makes the most sense for my use case which currently is a pure gasoline powered vehicle.
  7. Ford Fathom EV Pickup ($28,350 Starting Price) - News & Info

I'd save 500-800/year on gas but didn't include the cost of electricity in the comparison, therefore it would be much less of a savings.
  8. Ford Fathom EV Pickup ($28,350 Starting Price) - News & Info

No, not really. Is the plan to buy a $33,000 vehicle to save $500-800/year on fuel? That assumes a zero price point on electricity and doesn't include the couple of grand to upgrade my electrical service. All this to get me a vehicle that meets 75% of my needs whereas my current power plant...
  9. Ford offering Navigation after trial - is it worth it?

No, don't pay them a dime for the stupid subscription. What an absolute rip-off, shame on Ford for trying to suck every last penny out of us. Pay for an update if you want it sure, but to pay annually no way. Next thing you know they will be asking for money to keep your heated seats working...
  10. Two Door Tuesday Lets See Them Two Doors

I feel kinda bad as last Tuesday was Ruby's "Gotcha Day", I forgot to post a pic celebrating our one year anniversary :( This is why we had to get her, Belle was taken out by an Audi Allroad.

Snowshoe, WV area this past weekend.
  12. Recall 26S55: 2021-2026 Bronco - Engine Compartment Wiring Harness Repair [July 23, 2026] -- 590,000k units affected

This happened to us last year. Ours was totaled and we wanted a '24 with the V6 (2-door) but they couldn't sell them due to a recall so we got a '25 with the 2.3 (Ford dropped the V6 in 2-doors in '25).
  13. My bait and switch oil change experience.

As long it doesn’t say “Full Synthetic” it’s not false advertising.
  14. Pulled a camper with my BadSas 2.3

The only non-V8 engine I've heard that sounded good is the Subaru flat 4 with a proper muffler.
