I did disconnect the battery but my issue came from installing a bad fuse when I reassembled. Hope your issue is just as simple 🤞🏼

You’re right that it’s a little tight getting in there with top on but it hasn’t bothered me. I don’t keep my glasses in a case though, I could see that being more of an issue with this setup and the top on
