  1. 2.3 vs. 2.7 vs. 3.0 engines after 100K miles (wear & tear assessment via teardowns)

Your just showing your ignorance of what type of hybrid system would wind up in the Bronco-it would be similar to the powerboost that is in the F-150, where the electric motor is in the 10R transmission. Any additional harnesses would be outside of the engine compartment and the recall for the...
  2. 2.3 vs. 2.7 vs. 3.0 engines after 100K miles (wear & tear assessment via teardowns)

As for those three-they had a different reasons to be gone: Not profitable Shrinking market share due to market changes/wants New product that didn’t pan out to market not materializing like they expected it would. limited assembly capacity. As for the 2.7L there was apparently issues with it...
  3. Bronco Pickup Truck coming in future. Hybrid Bronco arrives 2027

The current rumor/assumption is that the Ranger moves out of MAP and production is replaced by a Lincoln Bronco and the Bronco Pickup The Tennessee Truck plant gets the Ranger, but it actually morphs into a F-100-basically a Ranger more tailored for the North American market with more body...
  4. MPG

I’ve had V8 Mustangs, 2013 Taurus SHO Ecoboost and hi-po I4 cars (Escort GT/Focus SVT) and my V6 Bronco gets the best around town gas mileage out of all of them šŸ˜‚ going back to the OP-yes my big bend is stuck at 20/21 MPG highway or around town.
  5. Hardtop rear window squeaking issues

If you’re a hardtop Bronco owner, you know all about the random squeaks and noises that come from the hardtop. The one sound sounds like a plastic wrapped pack of bottled water I’ve had them since I’ve pickup my Bronco-chalked it up to the Bronco owners experience. Most the time it’s pretty...
  6. Where Does Your Phone Usually End Up in Your Bronco? šŸ“±

I have a CourseMS phone mount that goes under the Bronco plate on the center console and uses a MagSafe plate to put the phone on.
  7. Future of the 2.7L?

    Don’t get old šŸ˜‚
  8. Future of the 2.7L?

Outside of Acura, there is no one else doing it that way
  9. Future of the 2.7L?

A diesel isn’t an Ecoboost and vice vera. I can’t think of a gas powered V style engine that has a single turbo on it.
  10. Future of the 2.7L?

The 3.5L had issues in traverse applications (waterpumps), but then again Ford doesn't offer any vehicles like that anymore after the SHO died off a while ago.
  11. Future of the 2.7L?

Ok glad I can block people on here for stupidity....
  12. Future of the 2.7L?

I think he might be smoking crack-the 2.7 doesn't come in lower end models that would be used for loaner in the past few years. The 2.3L is a good engine anyways...
  13. Future of the 2.7L?

Some information- The 3.0 and 2.7 are basically the same engine-just the 3.0 has a longer stroke. The other thing (which didn't dawn on me till someone else mentioned a new 6 cyc is coming) is that you NEED 2 turbos on V style engines...so if there is a single turbo engine coming, that means...
  14. Future of the 2.7L?

So an insider on another board that normally has some good info:
  15. Future of the 2.7L?

The rumor going around about that is the new Ranger Super Duty will become the F-100 and be built in the Tennessee truck plant as its replacement.
