Still very happy with them. As much as the day I put them in. I also put two on the roll bar over the cargo area. Same lights and wired into the same circuit. That does a great job lighting up the rear cargo area when you open the door. Way better than the stock light on the side of the cargo area.
Got my kit over the holidays and installed on my Bronco (flip hinges and roof rack). Installation was straightforward and the video instructions were easy to follow. I was meticulous in doing the prep work, etc. and everything went on well. Way quieter inside when closed now that I'm back to...
Thanks for the confirmation. Ordered and plan to install soon. Will post back here about my experience installing. Thanks @EZ4x4 for the discount code. That helped with the decision.
Thanks, that's what I figured. Mostly wanted to confirm that I could quickly step out on the side step on the driver's side, flip it back, and close that latch. That feels like about a 20 second exercise.
I was wondering about this part. I am considering switching from my Bestop Sunrider to this EZ 4x4 system to make it less noisy when closed, but really like the ability to flip back the top without having to climb all over the Bronco to do it. If I want to really quickly just flip back the...
Yes I'm sure that would work and would make the wiring a lot simpler. Just costs more since you're buying that whole kit. Tapping into that door wire behind the kick panel was definitely the toughest part of the job
Unfortunately I can't find the original installation instructions from V1 of the IAG light kit. Those had the details of the wire in the harness behind the kick panel that you need to tap to get the dome light signal. I need that in order to make a wiring diagram. Not sure where that leaves...
I'll try to put together some sort of wiring diagram in the next couple of days. As to the parts list, it's basically the diode and lights linked below plus whatever 2-strand wire and crimp connectors you might have on hand...
I haven't towed anything yet. I did use those hooks to pull a large limb out of a tree, but doubt that the force was all that huge. I'm no welding expert, but they look really solid to me
Custom Interior Lighting.
Ordered IAG dome light kit for my 4-door hardtop Bronco, but really didn't like the way they stick out with the brackets. Looked far from stock. But their install video gave some clear instructions for running the wires, so decided to do a custom solution with flush...
Ordered IAG dome light kit for my 4-door hardtop Bronco, but really didn't like the way they stick out with the brackets. Looked far from stock. But their install video gave some clear instructions for running the wires, so decided to do a custom solution with flush mount LEDs. Picked the...
I put a JL 500W mono sub amp in the space vacated by the B&O stock sub enclosure, since I was removing that. Worked out pretty well. Just had to fabricate a fiberboard mounting bracket (covered with sound deadening mat for no good reason) to mount it. Went with a JL 10" sub in a small custom...
@ ~Crystal@Bestop, Realize this is a thread about the Skyrider, but I'm going to ask a question about the Sunrider anyway.
On a 4d Bronco, can you remove the Sunrider along with the middle (2nd row) panel as one complete unit, without disassembling the two? I'd love to be able to do that...
