This is a used wildtrak.

no there HAS to be movement and VIN specific releases

There's not. It's simply not even a possibility lol
At this time there is absolutely no recall labor op, labor time, software, anything to do the recall.

Just because one person took delivery doesn't mean the recall was performed. Certainly wouldn't be the first time a dealer has released a vehicle even when they aren't supposed to.

Well, there's nothing that technically prevents a dealership from selling a vehicle and allowing someone to take delivery. They're not supposed to though and can be hit with a hefty penalty from the NHTSA if they do. I'm sure there are dealers that don't care and take the risk.

I purchased mine from a dealership that is by the book. They're keeping me updated weekly and storing my Bronco in a covered area, but I definitely won't be able to take delivery prior to the recall being resolved.

My '26 arrived at the dealer on Mar 9th (Built Feb 9th). I was told today that the software update will be out on the 25th and I can come pick it up after that date.

Just got off the phone with my dealer, they were less specific than yours @pcmccoy, but confirmed that the fix should be out next week. Then once vehicles are updated on the lot, they will be released for sale the week after that. WooHoo!

Just wondering....

If my dealer won't do the paperwork (they won't), and we go beyond the end of March, what is going to happen to the rebates/pricing on Stroppes? Should I push to complete paperwork or wait for additional rebates that may or may not happen?

I really don't want to pay thousands of dollars more because I lost out on rebates that end this month.

My dealer did entire deal. Trade in all of it. Signed all papers. All I have to do is pick it up once the fix is done

I bought mine brand new on March 10 with the understanding it’s legally mine but I can’t drive it off the lot until the fix is done. I already have the DMV paperwork back.

I’m thoroughly confused now. When I put my VIN into the recall tracker it no longer shows any recalls. I contacted dealer and the manager checked with Service department and they confirmed no recalls and said I could take delivery.

Can you please post a link to that VIN recall tracker?

Thanks,
Craig
