Best Subwoofer in Stock Location with Stock Amp

Tuesday I took delivery of my 2025 Big Bend Black Diamond, I was quite surprised with the sound system at least while using CARPLAY everything sounded good even the subwoofer is there and is not a fake one the front speakers were not paper as the usual stock paper speakers surprised. I did some research on the Forum and on line Youtube. Purchased some speakers ahead of time all high sensitive DB over 90DB and 4ohm the 4" coxial speakers PIONEER A Series and HERTZ 165 component speakers didn't use the tweeters I used the Pioneers instead front and back 4" speakers. Great Factory systems and got better with aftermarket speakers no tweaking with FORSCAN. The sound is great didn't spent a lot of $$$ on the speakers they were low cost AMAZON for the Pioneers A series 4" and CRUTCHFIELD for HERTZ got the free routing brackets and adapters.

The hardest part was getting the panel out. I have a 24 BB 2 door and there is a dog leg stantion that goes from the panel to the body that I cracked and had to epoxy. I used the wiring harness from the amp to the original sub and it was long enough. You will need 8 #8 by 1 inch screws to mount the amp to the plastic housing.

HI, I ordered a 2ohm 6.75 kicker sub to use with my factory 24 big bend amp. Compared to the shitty sub that it comes with, do you think I will be satisfied, also any tips I have to do to wire it correctly? Thanks in advance

Probably a waste of money but all dependsnon your expectations for generas you listen to. All to often poor music source quailty ruins sound.

Since this post is here and this is somewhat on topic, I have a '24 non B&O. I assume I also have a dummy sub speaker back there but with no amp and no wiring - is that correct? I'm guessing that if I wanted to install an actual sub I'd need to wire it in with an amp, it's not just plug and play. Is that correct?

If you have a 2024 without the B&O you actually do have an amp, sub, and wiring back there.

Do you know if I can tap into the factory subwoofer amp wiring to upgrade the amp, I assume I would have to run a better 12v, but can I splice into what's there for the speaker signal, and remote turn on, if so would I need anything adapter or anything special?

There are about 800 threads here on doing just that. Very easy MY21-24. MY25+ changes things a bit, as the signal going back shifted from analog that you can easily pick up, to digital that requires a special amp (but you could still pick up from the kick panels, just requires running a bit more wire)

I’m about to do this too. Did you wire the sub in series or parallel? Any tips on the install process?
