Were the cracks around the rippled area?

They were not. All of my cracks were around the side windows in the rear. Here's a few photos of the ripples, texture and the cracks.

How deep do these cracks go? Is it ever structural or more surface level?

I will say my ripples are secured to the underlying layer. I cannot press them in and they are bonded. I have lots of snakeskin elsewhere. So if your seem loose, I'd likely try to get it warrantied sooner than later.

I think ours are too. The appearance is what made me say they almost should move. I am going to watch them over the summer and see if there’s a change.

Have two… no cracks but cosmetic waves….

Dealer inspected, took pics sent to Ford and said they want to replace it. I cringe a little bit about how the rear windows have to be removed and reglued. Not sure when it will arrive.

Make sure they order the headliner if you have that. It will not come with the clamshell and they will tell you it does. Then also make sure they install it well and it doesn't fall.

I've had the top replaced twice on 2 Broncos and had the same experience both times at different dealers.

Correct. It does not come with the side or rear glass.

Monstaliner it and move on with life if it bothers you.

Both of ours are fine. But I'm also not studying it under every lighting. I love the light weight and it does decent with temperature control. Not perfect. But don't get everyone posting over and over the same crap.

There are aftermarket tops if it bothers you that much. Or sell it and buy a Jeep which has no issues whatsoever.
