Hey Guys,

My 2022 Braptor w only 45k miles here w failed waterpump!??!?!?! Anyone else here have premature failure with there water pump?? I've never had my water pump leak as badly and fail like this on the truck. Usually S550 mustangs fail at about 130k+ miles, never 45k...

Thanks Anthony

Damn Anthony, that's brutal. 45k is definitely way too early for a water pump to be checking out like that.

You can't really compare it to the S550 Mustangs, though. The 3.0L EcoBoost in the Braptor is a completely different animal. It pushes a ton of heat, especially when it's working hard to drag a heavy, un-aerodynamic brick like the Bronco around.

The silver lining here is that your 2022 is still well within Ford's 5-year/60k-mile powertrain warranty. Get it towed straight to the dealer, make them fix it on their dime, and make sure you demand a loaner vehicle while it's in the shop.

Good luck getting it sorted out quickly!

Hi Trail Walk,
Thank you for your reply!! Appreciate it!! Thats exactly my sentiment via 45k?!!?! I was like, wtf! I have had 2 supercharged mustangs S550's and water pumps never failed. CATS were my issue with those cars LMAOOOO But they are warrantied for 8 years under EPA, so always covered in full via dealership.
I brought the Braptor to my local dealer, and its covered.. Thanks for tip though. I have that truck warrantied for 8 years or 150K miles. LOL I hope that these issues arent an indicator of whats to come, because i will trade truck in and go back to mustangs, real fast!
So far, I have been loving the truck.. Its AWESOME minus these small issues.

Thanks Anthony
