Hey folks. I own a 2022 Bad Sas, and do light overlanding, mostly camping. We have an RTT sat on a Trailrax roof rack. We also bought their RTT lifter mounts and applied rubber mats between them; the roof is solid. We are experiencing an inside squeak at the rear passenger side pinch point on the MIC HID hard top. The roof did not come with headliner for this year/ model. The latch is tight but something is rubbing there. I have applied moisturiser to the rubber strips on the rear to mid roof panels in an attempt to prevent the squeak. No pins are located here to apply grease or heat shrink plastic as I've seen on Youtube videos.

Other than turning up the thrash metal, any ideas on a solution? Does anyone else have this issue? I was thinking about applying a strip of the Velcro mesh (not hook) as a surface on the latch, but not sure.

I had a squeak from the exact same area that sounded just like this and it took me a long time to find the problem. I tried tightening that latch and lubricating all the interacting surfaces and still had the squeak.

What ended up being my problem was the clearance between the pivoting latch for that corner and the metal bushing inside. If you unscrew the screw that holds the latch into the roof on that corner, you can slide out the metal bushing that the latch pivots on. I added one layer of tape around the bushing to take up the extra room and put it back into the latch. My problem immediately went away.

Hope that helps! Please let me know if it does.
