Has anyone got any update on the fuel pump recall? It’s been over a year since it was issued with no updates on it. I’ve been waiting for that one to come out so I can get 2 others done also

Ford's official fix is still under development. Because there are currently no parts available to do the repair, dealerships cannot fix this specific recall yet.Has anyone got any update on the fuel pump recall? My guy appreciate it!It keeps getting pushed back.
Current ETA for a partial remedy is tomorrow.
I give it another 6 months at this rateWell so much for that. The partial remedy they released is only for Expedition, Navigator and Mustang. The wait continues lol

The PCM update “provides new logic that prevents fuel pump binding and maintains fuel flow to the engine”Any notes on what the update does for those vehicles since it’s released?
How ...is software to blame for fuel pump failures? The PCM update “provides new logic that prevents fuel pump binding and maintains fuel flow to the engine”
I have to update firmware on my mountain bike seat post...How ...is software to blame for fuel pump failures?
What a world we live in.

Software controls the fuel pump. If it controls it incorrectly I suppose that could cause damage to it.How ...is software to blame for fuel pump failures?

Well for the affected models that the recall can currently repair, it appears only to be a software issue. Because it closes the recall for those after it’s been completedSo are we thinking this is only going to be a software update, whenever it is released as a remedy?
Or do we think there will be a new pump actually installed?
I've got a non-critical glitch with my sending unit & the info on the dash being incorrect (P0463 DTC). So far it's not caused any actual issues, just annoying to see an empty gauge when you know it's a full tank. or vice versa.
I'd been holding off on swapping the pump/sending unit myself, because if Ford was going to swap them under recall, why pay for the part & do the work myself if the dealer could do it for free.
But I'm beginning to wonder if I should just take the hit & do it myself with how this is going....
