Recall 26S55: 2021-2026 Bronco - Engine Compartment Wiring Harness Repair [July 23, 2026]

I’m guessing my anticipated October delivery date just went out the window.

Recall notice says that Ford will issue a TSB for the recall on 31 July.

I'm sure it will be "two zip ties and some cable wrap", so shouldn't take more than 3/4 hour.

Maybe this is the section of the harness I had to clean up and re-pin behind the driver's wheel well. It was definitely rubbing.

You mean this s*** show? I was pretty shocked when I got this open. Rerouted it yesterday while removing that beehive crap back there.

And I doubt that's the one, seems to be stuff going to the rear.

I wonder if this has anything to do with my Broncos electrical issue. Been in the shop 5 times now with multiple attempted fixes, none of which has worked.

They are right on schedule- recall every 3 months since I bought my Bronco.

According to Google 1268 days.
Was finally built December 2022, and able to bring it home February 2nd 2023.

Just my luck. Was just at the dealership for service and got a recall taken care of. Seems like this happens every time i go in for service. 1 recall is closed out but then a new one is announced.

Take one for the team and stopped getting your Bronco serviced!

How about Ford actually comes up with a timely remedy. I don't know, maybe wrap the wires with electrical tape or something? It's pathetic how Ford NEVER has an immediate remedy to anything. Can't sell new Bronco's, can't fix Bronco's on the road. What the actual fuck are they doing?

If the TSB ends on 26th December 2025 then this implies that vehicles manufactured after this date no longer have the issue.

Which means they must have a different wiring loom for this section, so perhaps the remedy is just producing the half million of them they need to satisfy the recall.

This is no different than any other manufacturer.
They’re required to release and notify recalls to customers before any repair would be available.
That’s why it’s called advanced notice.

You can check any other manufacturer and 99% of the time, notification of recalls come weeks to months before an actual repair is available depending on what the recall entails.

This one is only a week because it should be a simple repair.

This is a recall, not a TSB.
And like I mentioned previously, the build dates listed are not accurate.

The repair will likely just be to added protection to the section of harness that’s having an issue.

This one is only a week because it should be a simple repair.

we'll see. I won't hold my breath that we'll actually get a remedy inside a month.
I think i waited a year for the shock recall & we're still waiting for the fuel pump.

I see the recall on CarFax. As has been mentioned before, it is not yet visible on the Ford website or in the app.
