Nice close up pics - really helps with those two FE colors. I want to like the Copper Sands but I’m afraid I’d get tired of it in a short amount of time. I will probably order the special green color (field green something) or maybe go with the desert sand, which is about my favorite. The problem with sand is that interior…terrible match. Anyway, thanks again for posting those.

So perhaps you don't have the answer, but might be able to ask those that might - the different badging is tied to the respective exclusive FE Bronco Filson edition. But what badging does the other colors receive?

heard rumblings that the f150 is getting rid of the 2.7 for the 3.0 on all trims.. i almost wonder if that’s why the filson is getting the 3.0 as well.

I would buy that (not literally, unless they put an MT behind it) if only because the package size can't be THAT much bigger. Would surely simplify a currently pretty tall stack of turbo motors.

Really hard to tell when Ford is going to make a transition such as retiring the 2.7 for the 3.0. Switching powerplant options from lesser power to more power could mean Ford intends to increase prices again with a small engine bump as an excuse or the 3.0 just costs Ford less money in both manufacturing and warranty repairs. Keep in mind that Ford announced upgrades across all the EB lineup for 2027, which the 2.7 was included in that list.


Personally, I'm surprise Ford hasn't done a race styled prototype of the 3.0 or 2.7 yet, the intent for these engines were SUV/Trucks so that may be why. Their work on the 2.3 and 2.0 EB's were impressive and they'd make a killer 2.7 or 3.0.

This has been a bit of an issue with me. The green would look good with the 'matching' interior, but maybe too much of a match. The copper might go with the interior, but it might clash a bit.

Anybody who has seen the copper sands in person have thoughts on that (interior color with the exterior colors)?

Man, all my pictures that show both interior and exterior seem too dark or very washed out. The morning sun was tough. Personally, the copper is a little much for me. I like the green interior, seems to be a moss green to me, but now that you mentioned it, I'm not sure I like the two together. I'd probably be a Field Green guy if I were shopping one. Unfortunately, this is the best pic I have with the colors together.

That doesn't look too bad to me. The interior is sorta a muted green, so it kinda goes with it. Probably does still look better with green exterior though.
