Hello, I've been trail riding since 1980 here in Florida. I've had International Scouts, FSJs, Ford Explorer and all of them Modified! First, I'm a retired Engineer that worked for Coca-Cola, Clorox, Owens Corning and lastly Amazon. Second, I spent a 2 year Stick between Clorox and Amazon building an LLC that recycled old Vintage Trucks and Engineered parts for FSJeep. I still have the LLC and will be developing parts for my Bronco. As part of the LLC I have a YouTube channel 'The Slab64". On this channel I mostly build FSJs and document my product installations. So, my goal with the Bronco is to add front and rear bumpers, a transmission cage and sliders before heading out to Windrock in October. Are any other Bronco owners planning on going out in that month? I'd really like to have company.

Check out our Windrock group on here. I usually organize a Fall ride every year in October. What mods are done to your BL? We are going on a mild ride on the 9th of August (around a level 5). I hope to go one more time for a fall equinox ride, but we will see.

Great, that's exactly what I need! Presently, I'm 70% done with a custom rear receiver that integrates into the bumper. I'm in the process now of stitching the sheet metal into the Receiver. I'm expecting it to protect the bumper when dropping off obstacles and will be a better receiver for extraction and Jacking.
Next is a transmission cage. Currently its out in the wind. Lastly, an integrated front winch. This should get me to Windrock. Oh no! Aug 9 is too soon but Sept-Oct is doable.

I'm making progress. I have integrated a heavy steel Receiver into the rear bumper that allows me to lift either side with a HiLift jack. Now I'm building a trans' cage

Totally unrelated but watching your FSJ rear spring video I noticed a healthy application of spray insulation on the ceilings and some walls of your prefab shop.
How much difference does that make really?
I have 2" thick dense polystyrene on all of my walls covered in 1/2" Plywood but nothing on the ceiling yet and it's an oven in the summer. My winters are relegated to fab/welding in panels and body prep because I don't spray in any temps below about 55 ambient (inside the shop).
I have a 1.5T "mini Split" system but don't run it really because it jacks up the utility bill farther than the benefit it gives me. A 30X48 with 9' walls (12' peak) isn't the easiest thing to try and keep reasonably cool or warm in when the temps like to act up.

Oh Man! That's a sore subject for me. LOL. I had a Framer tell me to save the material costs and time by using Spray-in foam. What a mistake!!! I applied the DIY foam in the heat and because of the ambient temp I used up all the mixer nozzles within minutes. I couldn't move the ladder and restart before the foam setup inside the mixer nozzles. So, I had to buy 20 extra nozzles and a second kit to get the minimum coverage. Ill never do it again but I would pay someone to do it. I believe it would have been better to hang 2" foam boards than to use the foam and its still too hot. The window unit can't cool it at Noon. It stays at 90%. My total cost was $1600 and unlimited frustration.
