My Bronco (2.3l) has that dry crank(?) feature where you hold the throttle to the floor and there's no ignition.
Does a great job of filling the filter after oil changes.
Anyone know if the Ranger 2.3l has this?

That’s normally a clear flood feature of most Fuel Injected. Holding to WOT while cranking keeps fuel off.

Maybe the sarcasm got too personal somewhere? He is defiantly good for a laugh, but I don't recall him ever contributing anything of substance (maybe I just missed it). Still I don't think the mods pay that close of attention so had to be the formal I would think

He definitely did and was knowledgeable and informative on several topics that I recall.

Years and years ago I was a young man and I replaced the distributor on my 1970 Mach 1. Looking for top dead center on cylinder one with a short pencil I dropped it into the cylinder. I still have the Mach 1 and it runs fine. I guess the eraser and metal band were no match for the combustion of the mighty 351. You will be fine.

Pencil remnants are in the mufflers and beyond, no worries.

Bit naive on the subject… so is “banned” a permanent or temporary suspension? Can they return with different email?

I've seen real trolls (people who actively try to disrupt discussions with actual vitriol and malice, not High Velocity's sometimes acidic commentary) come back more than once. I don't know what the rules are, but I assume he could, but may not choose to. We'll just have to see.

Even if you did, it's shouldn't be an automatic ban. I've seen so much worse be tolerated with no ban (maybe a warning we didn't see, sometimes people refer to those). Maybe Doug the admin was having a bad day and High Velocity got on his bad side at the wrong moment. Or he's stressed and did act a fool and we just didn't see it. I dunno, I half expect he'll be back but you never know.

The Trolls are confusing to me… a forum is a collection of members normally sharing a common interest. Helpfulness, Informative, Humor and a bit of Spiciness in commentary is all good. What’s to gain by Trolling, if you don’t like the subject or forum… move on, find your interest.

The time to even Post or read Posts is consuming at times… if I wasn’t interested in the subject I wouldn’t give it 5 seconds.

Prior to my 50’s, we didn’t have all these helpful, collaborative, collective knowledge resources… YouTube and Forums have provided so much! Why someone is so bored in life to not be motivated to learn or explore something new… is beyond me… such a waste!
