Ranger doesn't scratch the same itch. If you're wanting a pickup that you can take the top and doors off, you're not buying a Ranger. You're stuck with a Gladiator. Ford's goal should be putting people into a blue oval vehicle, not concerning themselves over whether that blue oval is a Bronco or a Ranger.
That's a fair point, but the problem is that Ford only wants to put people in blue ovals with high price tags and large GM's.

I'll believe it when it happens.
This should probably be moved to the bronco pickup section also where all the other rumors are that never came true lol
It's gonna happen bro! And it's gonna have a coyote V8 and both hookers AND blackjack! It'll come from the factory with 38's, and won't have a single nanny system on it, and it'll be like cars used to be. You know, GOOD CARS built in 'Murica by 'Muricans!

I solved my hauling issues, bought a 26 Maverick and it gets 40 mpg, yeah can't take the top off but I haven't taken the top off the bronco all summer either since it pretty much rains everyday this year.
Plus they've got the Tremor... so...

Yes, the Ford-baru Brat, excellent.
Long story short;
The first year of the Brat;
I tried to trade my '71 hemi 'cuda convertible daily driver for a new Brat.
The dealer said no.
I thought the brat might be the next Baja champ and I wanted to build it out for baja. I was wrong.

And you promptly put that 71 hemi cuda convertible in a climate controlled garage and still have the keys today, right? RIGHT?!?!

No.
Wife's choice of driver any given day was a 69 hugger orange z28, a 70 1/2 z28 or the cuda.
One of the headliners(in the way back)at Disneyland offered her $10,000 for the 'cuda we had paid twenty one hundred and twenty one dollars for six months earlier.
She called me while I was in Japan. I told her to hold out for $12,121 just for bragging rights.
She told him...it was stolen the next day.
I still have the title and it's mine if found.
Cuda registry has told me the vin plate is now on a hardtop...so I'm sure the car was scrapped shortly after stolen.
I had a $10,000 bounty on the car for years, rumors...no car.

I was a car guy in the days when z28's and big block ss and boss mustang fastbacks were $800 cars.
Contrary to what your dad will tell you:
By todays standards they'd have a hard time keeping up with a well tuned prius.

Gas crunch scared/scarred many folks. Muscle cars were the lowest cost of any model.
The cuda was a double loser. Convertible insurance was high and it was a gas guzzler.

No internet back then. No books. No model count.
You had to know the rarities to make money on them. No vin decoder, you had to know redline on the tachs to know if they were really z's or big blocks or hemi.
You learned by learning.

I’m sorry, but that four-door Bronco pick up in my humble opinion looks fugly. Visually, it’s just adding another slab side box to two existing slab side boxes. But then again, I think the Gladiator looks fugly too, unless it has huge tires on it.

Now a two door Bronco pick up truck, that I might be interested in.

Or what about a Bronco pickup incorporating the Ford F150 Supercrew concept with its smaller rear suicide doors for easier on access to the rear seats if Ford insists on making it four-door only?
Better visual proportions.

No matter which Bronco pickup truck design Ford goes with, I sincerely hope that it comes with an operable rear window!

The 4 door Mustang, is going to be called a Mach4. It has been said, just Mach4. No Mustang. Also, it has been said by people who have seen it think Porche Panarama in a Ford skin. Makes plenty of sense to me, as you see a bunch of Porches down here in Miami.

The F150 and Mustang are more than a name; IT IS THE BRAND. So if you want to introduce something, well, that name goes there. Though I think this time, styling the 4-door Mach4 to look similar to a Mustang will do the selling. As for a Bronco pickup, I think it would do well. They are aiming at Jeep Gladiator sales, and again, you see a bunch of them down here. I think people who want a Bronco and s a somewhat usable bed will be the target.

Think Ford really missed the mark with the E-Mustang . . . I’ve got ZERO experience in marketing/sales/etc., but they should have called that thing the “Galax-E” - - homage to an older family oriented Ford product without sullying the heritage of the Mustang.

As a fellow eastern NC resident I second this post. Gladiators are all over the place here. Definitely outnumber Rubicons.
I third this message, but there are also a good amount of Broncos and Wranglers, most of which haven’t sniffed dirt.

Facts as facts.
Ai is not to be trusted...but the info is within a few percentages.
Gladiators are having birthdays on car lots.

They're turds, they were always turds.
Once the
'Hey look at me'
market saturates...it's all downhill.

If it weren't for the
Over msrp, gotta have it gang,
they wouldnt have lasted a third year without the fadfishness of it.

Once the scrambler hits the market a HUGE percentage of glads will be traded in by the
'Hey look at me' gang.

Signed,
I drive a stroppe,
So;
Hey! Look at me!
