PSA on secret-ish OEM trim piece to reduce roof noise (C pillar molding cover)

Seconded. I'd love to do this upgrade - I also have a 2023 4-Door MIC top. But I got completely lost in this parts number debate.

Based on the pictures from the OEM parts sites, anything ending in AA seems to be the trim piece that goes beneath/accepts this new piece that goes on top. As far as I can tell BA or CA are the piece that go on top.

I cannot say that definitely; but it’s what I see in the photos!

which makes sense that this was a mid-year 2024 change. My March 2024 4 door did not have it.

correct, 2 door it will be B-pillar, for 4 door we'd look at C-pillar, probably that's the same part with 3 holes in it, based on pictures they look very similar.

yes, looking at InfinateDomain’s pictures above for his 2 door, and pictures of my 4 door at the beginning of this thread, the insert parts look identical. Plus they have the same part (engineering?) number stamped on the back. So far, after looking at many many videos and pictures of Broncos with the roof off, I’ve only ever seen two different kinds of inserts: (1) the insert with the rubber gasket that this whole thread is about, and (2) a slightly different insert that has a hard plastic edge, and not the rubber gasket, and which I believe was designed for use with the soft top. I think at this point the prevailing wisdom is that the latter part has the BA suffix and the correct part has a CA suffix.

people should keep in mind that if you’re looking for this on eBay or a similar online site, that parts reseller may only list it by the number stamped on the back. Which is not going to be the ford parts number above (thank you Ducati), but will probably be what I understand is the engineering number. So you may want to search for that number in addition to the parts number.

I was looking through the full catalog for Bronco. So while adding a specific VIN would narrow down the diagrams and parts, it wouldn’t add any either.

Edit: Okay I think I verified it.

This was using a stroppe VIN, so it should rule out any 4 door parts, and this is what it showed still. So these part numbers should be correct for a 2 door.
