So today had really bad overcast. I figured it was the perfect day to check out A51 in its best (darker blue/gray) and AMB at its worst (near black). If AMB still ruled supreme it was a done deal. It won by a landslide by the way. Photos of it here today outside in overcast, and awesome blue pops in the showroom I took a few weeks earlier https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/thre...-overcast-and-in-the-showroom-video-too.9305/
Either way, I had to see A51 before I officially ruled it out. I drove 30 minutes out of my way to only stumble on another one (at the dealer that had the F250 in AMB). Any regard, Area 51 looked better than I thought it would. I could absolutely see it’s appeal. Although I don’t think its for me. Maybe it’s too flat/plastically. I tried to summarize it in a single word. First word to come into mind was “playful” second word “bi-gendered”. From afar it could look like a grayish masculine color and the closer you get to it, it becomes flat and muted and more feminine up close.
Again I could see it’s appeal, but don’t think it’s for my taste. I wouldn’t be disappointed if it had it and it certainly would play well in MIC or badlands form.
