  1. Base bronco 2dr tire upgrade suggestions

The nicest tire upsize without breaking the bank or needing modification is what I've had on my non-SAS OBX for 3 years: 17x8 Badlands Take-offs wheels with a 285/70R17 tire, "33's, which adds almost an inch of height. A nice road/trail tire is Nitto Nomad Grappler (i have, photo below) or...
  2. First oil change dilemma 2.7 OBX

I agree with all the advice to do your first OLF sooner than later, especially being over 6 month. I'm at 85,000 miles on the 2.7, have mostly kept to 5,000 mile intervals and all is well with my 2021 OBX.
  3. First oil change dilemma 2.7 OBX

I agree with all the advice to do your first OLF sooner than later, especially being over 6 month. I'm at 85,000 miles on the 2.7, have mostly kept to 5,000 mile intervals and all is well with my 2021 OBX.
  4. If You Could Go Back Before Buying Your Bronco, What Would You Do Differently?

That's a nice, interesting summary. I think they'd be better off putting the generator engine in the front, and getting rid of some or all of the frunk. Anyone who buys the range extender is not a purist, and won't mind losing the frunk. What's more, moving the engine will allow them to add...
  5. If You Could Go Back Before Buying Your Bronco, What Would You Do Differently?

Yes, finding a perfect car is difficult, and knowing ahead of time which are lemons and which are peaches is impossible! And, vehicle purchases are, in part, emotional decisions where reason is not always in charge! Glad you like your Grenadier. I will have to research that! My next car may be...
  6. If You Could Go Back Before Buying Your Bronco, What Would You Do Differently?

I ordered a high package OBX in early 2021. I could not find one to drive, and I thought that the Sasquatch would be too bouncy and high. So I added the Auto TC, 4.27 axles and rear locker. In the first 15 months, I then added 33" tires. Badlands take offs, a half roof rack, an ARB air pump, a...
  7. Rear End Differential Failure

Good to know you have the 4.27! I'll keep an eye on mine!
  8. Rear End Differential Failure

I have a 2021 OBX with the 4.27 axles and rear locker, so different machinery. It's all good, and I do alot of beach driving. If you're looking for perspective, I think you may be over-reacting. The way I would look at it is, "Ford is giving me a new rear end while it still has a warranty! How...
  9. Recall 26S32: 2021-2022 Model Year Broncos MIC Hard Top Roof Panel Delamination [May 15, 2026]

My 2021 build dates shifted 3 times between June & July, was finally built July 21, 2021. The, it disappeared, then the August 2021 letter saying it was held up for a new hardtop. I finally received the vehicle October 22, 2021. The MIC top has been fine, so far, although the three panels have...
  10. Recall 26S32: 2021-2022 Model Year Broncos MIC Hard Top Roof Panel Delamination [May 15, 2026]

It says "panel" and doesn't say if it refers to the rear cap as well! This would be a PITA if I wanted to sell or trade my 2021, but I have no issues and am keeping it. With the Skyrider softtop installed, the panel is off the vehicle anyway. I did get the letter.
  11. 5 tire rotation: local Valvoline were confused

I got my dealer to do 5-tire by acknowledging its extra work, and offering to pay extra. I also take the tire cover off for them, it can be annoying to deal with.
  12. When off-roading, do you use goat modes or do you manually configure your Bronco?

On the beach, I usually first use the "Sand" goat mode, as I leave the pavement, since it sets the rear locker and other beach settings easily. The problem is, when I'm on the beach and decide to move, it won't stay in that Goat mode on restart unless I push "OK" when the pop-up pops up ...
  13. Dobinson's MRR Installation Inquiry

Photo? Hopefully, someone didn't mix up the 2dr vs 4dr versions for you. I discussed the kit for my 4dr Bronco with Dobinson, but he clarified that this is a 3-inch+ kit (2.5-3.5) for non-sasquatch and a 1.5-2.5 lift for Sasquatch vehicles. I want no more than 2", which seems hard to find...
  14. How to SAS a NON-SAS badlands

Yup. And there are many of us non-sasquatch Bronco owners who have bought those 17x8, +55offset Badlands wheels from non-sasquatch Badlands owners, to upgrade our 32" OBX wheels to 33" wheels. I've been running a set for over 3 years now without modification, they fit fine for beach driving...
  15. I just broke a tie rod on the last trail I went on

That's good to know that it's possible to upgrade my 2021 non-sasquatch OBX steering rack to the 3.0 version . . . After I impersonate someone else's VIN and try to find someone to do that complicated work-around programming! Doesn't sound like a dealer would? I think I'll stick with 33's or...
  16. I just broke a tie rod on the last trail I went on

The 2021 non-sasquatch OBX cannot be programmed for the upgraded rack, not sure what he has!
  17. I just broke a tie rod on the last trail I went on

Suggest you edit your post to say what vehicle you have. You previously mention a 2021 Outer Banks (what I have). While your photo shows the tires and flares of the Sasquatch upgrade, we don't know if that's an owner upgrade of a non-sasquatch vehicle, or OEM. It matters, because of the...
  18. REAL Maintenance Schedule

I'm at 85,000 on my 2021 OBX, and I still have my original disc's and pads. Ford pointed out early on that they made the rotors thicker to compensate for the smaller diameter that the Base wheels required, and all original 6g Broncos have the same brake set on the 4dr. I'll change them when...
  19. Towing recommendations/solutions?

I'll just say as an old trailer guy on multiple vehicles that the round 7 wire/5 wire unit is more versatile, you can adapt to a flat pin from there. Eventually you'll wish you had it, need it, with the extra $ and time. Towing is very random, unexpected, but when you need it, it's there.
  20. On my 3rd MIC Top, Any Suggestions?

    1. Paint it. 2. Wrap it. 3. Install the Besttop Skyrider, which only uses the rear cap (what I did, see photo). Assuming your rear cap is in decent shape. 4. Install the Besttop full electric convertable top ($6,000). 5. Buy an aftermarket hard top with less panels ($6,000+) 6. Ignore the...
